I received a rather strange phone call today. The caller claimed they were conducting a survey regarding the garage where I'd recently had my car serviced. When I probed further about which garage they were referring to, they repeated the same line about the one where I’d had my car done. I pressed again, asking “which garage?” and then they veered off and started quizzing me about whether I owned a car and what make it was. I felt quite uncomfortable and decided to politely decline, hanging up the phone. It all seemed a bit dodgy if you ask me.

So I got a call earlier claiming they were running a survey about the garage where I'd recently had my car fixed. I asked which garage they meant, but all they said was the one I’d just used for the service. When I pressed again for the name, they switched and started asking if I even owned a car and what brand it was. I told them I wasn’t interested and ended the call. Something about it seemed off, like it wasn’t a proper survey or something.

They keep ringing my phone non-stop, but whenever I try calling back, it just goes to the voicemail of an Asian gentleman.

Yesterday afternoon (7/2/14) I got a call from this number. I usually don’t pick up if the number’s not saved in my phonebook, and for those odd calls I just block them through my network provider. It works fairly well, but some companies that use auto diallers have loads of different numbers, so when you block one, they just ring you from another. These calls aren’t officially marked as “nuisance” by the providers, though to me they definitely are! They’re completely unwanted and feel pretty much like harassment. I really think phone companies should do more to help their customers filter these out, kinda like how we can get rid of spam emails.
