I’m not sure why, but this number keeps ringing non-stop if you don’t pick up.

Today, I received a rather peculiar call from an unfamiliar number. An Asian lady on the other end informed me about an extended warranty for my washing machine, which is nearing its fifteenth birthday, if you can believe it! The offer she pitched seemed incredibly enticing-almost too good to be genuine! I'm quite aware that these types of scams have been circulating for ages now. Stay vigilant, folks!

Just had some dodgy call about kitchen stuff, felt like one of those scams trying to trick older folks. Really hope no one falls for it, seems like they're after the elderly mostly.

I received a rather dubious call regarding the renewal of my washing machine insurance. It was clear as day that it was a scam, so I promptly informed them that I had no interest whatsoever.

So this bloke called, asking for ‘Mr’ which was odd since my husband’s a doctor and usually they say ‘Dr’. He told me our washing machine insurance had expired just a couple days ago. Never said which company he was with. Then he started pushing a ‘better deal’ cheaper than what we supposedly had before. Thing is, we don’t even have any insurance on the machine! Total scam. Watch out! For reference, we’re based in North Yorkshire.

Got a call from someone with an Indian accent trying to get my info, claiming it was about PPI compensation. I told her she was dodgy and ended the call straight away.

I got a call on my mobile from this number but before I could pick up, it stopped ringing. When I tried calling back from my landline, the number just wouldn’t connect. Feels like it might be some kind of scam, just like what other people mentioned.

Got a call from someone with a posh British accent about a washing machine warranty, said they had a cheaper deal but then started asking for my bank details. Felt a bit fishy to me.

I received a call the other day regarding updating my washing machine insurance. The trouble is, I’ve never taken out extra coverage for it, which raises a red flag for me. Definitely dodgy! Keep your wits about you, folks!

Received a call earlier today, but they didn’t bother to leave a voicemail. I tend to ignore numbers I don’t recognise. If it was really important, surely they would’ve dropped a message?

I chose not to pick up the phone as I had a hunch it could be a dodgy call.

Received a call purportedly from John Lewis regarding insurance for washing machines. I have my doubts and suspect it might be a scam.

Received a call earlier today. They acknowledged my name, but the conversation didn't move forward owing to a dreadful phone line. I have a hunch they're a marketing firm.

Received a call informing me that the insurance for my washing machine had lapsed, but they didn't disclose which company they represented. I actually swapped out my old washing machine for a washer-dryer a few months back and took out a five-year warranty on it. Strangely enough, they seemed to know my last name.

I received a call today inquiring whether I was interested in renewing my washing machine insurance. They had my name but failed to mention either their company's name or the representative's name, which raises a few red flags. Either they’re utterly inept or this is some sort of scam! The number looked like it was coming from an office near Big Ben, which struck me as quite suspicious. Furthermore, we're currently in the midst of our policy term, and the insurance is already under auto-renewal, so it all feels rather dodgy!
