I got a call about supposed problems with my BT internet. Looks like a scam to me, and I'm concerned that folks who aren't so tech-savvy might get tricked. Best thing to do is just block the number straight away.

Some guy with a really hard-to-understand accent called saying he was from BT about my internet. He kept insisting he wasn’t trying to scam me, but it was clear he was just after my money by talking about fake internet issues that he’d probably charge me to sort out. Just block this dodgy number, it’s a scam for sure.
