Phone number ☎️ 02086388793 👆 is reported as a suspicious and potentially fraudulent number linked to unsolicited calls claiming to offer PPI refunds. Callers often provide convincing details, including partial address confirmation and official-sounding references, but the company named has been dissolved. The callers typically request creating an online wallet or installing remote access software, which is a common scam tactic to gain control of personal devices or finances. Users are advised to be highly cautious, avoid sharing personal information, and never follow instructions to install unfamiliar apps or software. Genuine PPI claims do not require such steps, and legitimate companies will not pressure you unexpectedly, especially regarding refunds for schemes that have long been closed.
Reports on phone number 02086388793
4 yearsToday I got a call from someone saying he was from Wilkinson PPI’s office in London. He asked me to confirm my address, and since he already had my postcode, I asked him to tell me the address he had first - it was right so I confirmed it, but kept pressing him about who he was and what the company actually did. According to him, they would recover £1,750 of PPI money I was owed through some ‘Government scheme’, and there’d be no charge for their help. I was pretty doubtful anyway since I’d already sorted all my PPI claims directly with HSBC without involving anyone else. The guy said his name was Sam and gave me a phone number along with an extension 137 to call back, plus a customer reference number which I quickly noted down. Then he tried to explain that I’d need to set up some kind of online ‘wallet’ for the money, which he’d guide me through. I told him there was no chance I’d do that - sounded like a perfect way for my bank funds to vanish in no time! Right after that, he said the claim was cancelled and immediately hung up. Felt like I just pulled a fast one on a scammer myself! Watch out for this one - don’t fall for it.WilkinsonLondonGovernmentHSBCSam4 yearsThis is undoubtedly a fraudulent scheme. A legitimate firm audited my details some time back! Receiving an unexpected call claiming I’m entitled to some free cash? I highly doubt that!4 yearsToday, I received a rather curious phone call from a gentleman calling himself Sam, representing Wilkinson. He claimed that I'm entitled to some sort of PPI refund, specifically stating an amount of £3,750. This whole scam is quite notorious, and honestly, if you haven't come across it yet, you must have been living in a cave somewhere.SamWilkinson5 yearsThey claimed to be the customer support line for Wilkinson PPI Ltd, but from what I’ve found, the business closed down back in September 2021, so I’m pretty sure this is a scam. They also asked me to install some app called Anydesk Remote Desktop so they could take control of my phone and supposedly help with the claim. No way I’m falling for that.Wilkinson PPI LtdSubmit Your Own Report (020 8638 8793)
