They’re claiming I owe £136 from a contract they say I signed last year. They’re pretty pushy about it. When I asked if this was some kind of scam to trick me for money, I got a bit annoyed, and she just hung up on me. Before that, I tried to get her to tell me my address and email but she said it was against data protection rules. I told her to send the documents again, but I’m planning to complain properly about this whole thing.

The caller was asking me to choose from a few options regarding my coverage, which, she claimed, was on the verge of expiration. Right from the onset, she didn’t bother to verify my identity. When I pressed her for some proof, she remained adamant, but I can’t shake off the feeling that it all reeked of a scam.
