I keep receiving text notifications claiming that a new payee has been established in my Barclays online banking. The issue is, I’ve never had an account with Barclays nor do I have any ties to them! This is undoubtedly yet another scam attempt, likely aimed at tricking unsuspecting Barclays customers. Honestly, it’s rather amusing how misguided these scammers are. They’ll definitely need to put a bit more thought into their next pitch if they want to catch someone out like me!

Received a message claiming to inform me of some dodgy activity linked to my Barclays bank account. Quite amusing, considering I don't actually have an account with them! Clearly, it's just a scam.
