Got a call from someone claiming to be from the fonehouse, offering me an iPhone 14 Pro Max for £42 a month. I told them to ring me back after 10 minutes. In that time, I looked up the fonehouse's official customer service number and gave them a ring. Turns out, the call I had was a con - that wasn’t their number at all. The real fonehouse team told me it was a scam and even gave me a police contact to report it. So yeah, this number’s a total rip-off, best to block it and ignore.

Got a call from this number trying to peddle an iPhone 14 Pro Max for only £35 a month. Wanted a new phone so I thought it was genuine. I ended up giving them my sort code and bank account details, but then they wanted my full 16-digit card number. That’s when I hung up. You don’t need to give card details for a direct debit set up, right? Felt a bit off to me. Just watch out, folks, something about it seemed fishy.
