Yesterday, while I was on my laptop, a message popped up both in writing and spoken, claiming that Microsoft had locked my device due to privacy issues and that I needed to call 02086386201 straight away to fix it. The message also warned me not to turn off the laptop. It all seemed quite real, so I dialled the number. Whilst the person on the other end was poking around my files, I started feeling uneasy. When they mentioned there would be a charge to resolve the problem, I knew it was a scam and hung up immediately.
