I got a call from someone asking if I was a person called ‘Gill’. I said no because that’s definitely not my name. Then they tried again, asking if I was ‘Sophia’. I said no again, told them to remove my number from their list. As I was about to hang up, they shouted something like ‘Oh, so it’s your number then Sophia’. I found that quite rude, especially since I was clearly bored and yawning when I picked up. The caller had an Asian accent, if that matters.

I picked up but nobody said anything on the other end.

Got a call from someone saying they were with EE, tried to sell me an upgrade with ridiculous prices. They reckoned the phone I wanted was about £600, but I said I’d seen it for way less than that on the internet. As soon as I mentioned that, they just dropped the call. Definitely wouldn’t recommend dealing with them!

So this caller said they were from EE and started by asking about my current plan - had to tell them what I’m paying first. Then they pitched me a phone I wanted, saying it was worth £600. When I mentioned I’d seen it for way less online, they just cut me off. Not sure if it’s some kind of con or if EE’s really trying shady stuff to push expensive upgrades. Either way, felt off to me.

I rang back and it was just some sales pitch about upgrading my mobile phone.

Got a call on my phone one time, sounded like the bloke was from the Midlands or maybe up North, Asian accent I think. Didn’t really bother with it, just ignored it. Seemed like a call centre type deal.

Got a call from what said it was Carphone Warehouse, but sounded like a total scam to me.

I'm guessing they might be from Carphone Warehouse since my EE deal is finishing soon, but I've switched over to a one-year SIM only plan directly with EE.

Got a call from a woman claiming to be from Carphone Warehouse saying I’m eligible for an upgrade. I’m actually on a SIM-only plan so that isn’t true. Told her I couldn’t chat since I was at work but she just kept going, firing off questions. I said if she really worked there, she’d already know the answers. Then she tried to quickly switch gears and push a SIM-only deal with a new iPhone 7. Told her flat out I’m not paying more than I do now. She then asked how much my current bill is. Total scam if you ask me. Blocked the number straightaway.

Got a call from someone telling me my EE plan needed upgrading. I told them I've got a sim-only deal and I'm fine with it. Then they started on about how most people aren’t satisfied with their contracts. I just said thanks and ended the call!

I got a call saying my EE contract was ready for an upgrade. I told them I’m on a sim-only plan and I’m fine with it. Then they started going on about how most people aren’t happy with their deals or something like that. I just told them thanks but no thanks and ended the call.

They keep ringing me daily from Car Phone Warehouse, saying my upgrade is ready, but I’m not even tied into any contract. Feels like a total scam to me.
