Hi there! So, this person kept ringing me at work yesterday, asking straight up for my name. They didn't stop and called me nearly 10 times all day! In the end, we told them we'd report it to the police if they didn't stop.

I run a little business and got a call from this number. The bloke on the other end claimed to be from National Grid and wanted to talk to the owner right away. When I said the owner wasn’t around, the guy suddenly got really loud and rude. We then handed the phone over to the manager, but the man just kept yelling while my manager stayed calm, trying to find out what the call was actually about. Luckily, it didn’t feel right, so we just cut the call short!

Honestly, this bloke is rather clueless. He had the gall to ask, "Can I chat with the owner of the business?" and when I informed him that they weren't in (which is our usual response to pesky cold callers!), he just scoffed and cut the line. I've attempted to ring him back; I intend to politely inquire who he’s working for, then I'll reach out to them directly to express my dissatisfaction. To any company out there employing this chap for cold calls, be warned: he’s doing your reputation a great disservice, and once I uncover who he’s representing, I’ll be sure to let them know!

This number keeps ringing us, it's some pushy bloke from India asking about our energy provider. We told him we ain't interested and to stop since this number is for our food delivery orders, but he just started swearing at us!
He rang nearly 20 times, blocking our calls, so we had to set the answerphone on. The muppet left rude messages as well. We tried calling back but no one ever answers. Seems like a scam to me...

Some bloke with an Indian accent rang me up, claiming I’d called about issues with our gas supplier, which I never did. When I told him I wasn’t interested, he started shouting and being really rude. I hung up, but he kept ringing back, screaming and being aggressive about 5 or 6 times. Eventually, I had to switch my phone off for a bit. I tried phoning him back later but it just went straight to voicemail. The caller said something about gas or electricity suppliers.

I reckon it’s one of those overseas call centres. I work remotely, so people just assume my home phone is for work. They claimed to be from the National Grid or something. I said alright, but then they started shouting “THE NATIONAL GRID SERVICE!” like I wasn’t listening or something. I ended the call, but they kept ringing me back - four times in total! I’m not dealing with anyone who pesters me like that.

A call came through to my business from this number, and the moment the caller realised they couldn't get hold of the owner, they resorted to making extremely crude and violent threats of a sexual nature.

Watch out for these lot pretending to be from the electric or gas companies - could be npower, eon, or british gas claiming you’ve got a refund coming. Then they ask for your bank info, which is a big red flag. I’m quite concerned that older or vulnerable folks might fall for this. Honestly, this sort of thing really needs to be cracked down on.

I got a ring, and I could hear loads of chatter in the background, so it must have been a call centre. When I answered with "hello," there was this awkward silence, then they just cut off without saying anything.

I received a call from a chap, but I simply couldn’t make out a word he was saying. He tried to repeat himself, but the background noise was just mad-totally drowned him out. When he asked if I could hear him or if it was too loud, I mentioned it was indeed too loud, and that’s when he just hung up! I really don’t understand the logic behind ringing someone up just to hang up without much fuss. What’s the point?

I've had it up to here with these persistent calls claiming to be from our gas and electricity suppliers. They keep saying they're from Eon, Npower, or British Gas, but I reckon it's all a load of nonsense.
