Got a call from someone claiming to be from an insurance firm about renewing insurance for a washing machine I don’t even own. I decided to humour her and when she asked for my details, I told her she probably had them already since she was supposedly checking my “insurance papers”. She just ended the call right there.

My elderly mum got a call about some washing machine insurance. She told them she didn’t have any insurance with that company, asked them not to ring her again, and then hung up. Lucky she was quick to end the call!

beware of the washing machine insurance scam. my machine has been going for 14 years and supposedly had an extended warranty. i was quite skeptical like others here. best to steer clear.

Similar to what others said here, someone phoned saying they were from an insurance firm offering to extend the warranty on my washing machine since the original had ended. Seemed dodgy straight away, so I played along to see what was going on. They kept giving excuses for not sending any paperwork before you agree online. Definitely a con, trying to set up a direct debit over the phone. Best to just ignore and hang up!

Just got a call saying my washing machine warranty had run out and they wanted to sell me an extension. Sounds dodgy to me, like one of those scams trying to get your money for nothing. Watch out, people!

I got a call from this number from a woman trying to sell some kind of renewal insurance for my washing machine. She said she’d send me the info, but before I could even ask who she was or what cover I supposedly had, I told her to wait a sec ‘cause I didn’t even know we had any insurance for it. Then, out of nowhere, she just hung up on me. Felt like she was just trying to fish for info. Be careful not to fall for this!

Not sure what that was about, but some bloke answered and said nobody could pick up. Yet, strangely, it was them ringing me in the first place - what a load of rubbish!

A bloke called himself Dillion and told me my washing machine’s warranty had expired. Said I shouldn’t stress, he could fix it for me. But the minute I asked which brand my machine was, he just cut me off. My washing machine’s been going strong for more than 10 years anyway.
