I received a call this evening around 8:40 PM from this number, which turns out to be linked to TNS, a marketing firm. Clearly working late! I opted not to pick up the phone, but later decided to return the call using a withheld number. I was greeted by their voicemail, confirming that they’re TNS and were reaching out for a survey. Quite the commitment from them, I must say!

Got another call from TNS Market Surveys today, and I’m really sick of it. Every time I tell them to take me off their list, the person on the other end just gets nasty and argues instead of listening. I decided to ring up TNS directly and spoke with Andrew Lane, their Performance Manager. His number is 020 8967 1723 and he’s based at the West London phone centre in Kanter House, Westgate, London W5 1UA. He promised to get me on their do-not-call list and said he’s tasked with making sure TNS treats people properly - no more rude behaviour or repeated calls after you’ve said no. Hopefully this sorts things out. Will keep an eye on what happens next.

I've told these lot ages ago to quit ringing me. I'm registered with TPS and used to be a director, so I know my rights. Last night they called at 6.44pm. I warned them if they bother me again, I'd report them straight away. They say they're TNS Market Research. I've made it clear I hate these market research calls, whether it's on the phone or in person. They've even rung me on a Sunday afternoon, which is just ridiculous. Proper fed up with their constant pestering.

This awful number keeps ringing me, mostly about midday or late afternoon, though sometimes they'll even call in the evening. After a while, I had enough and got one of those 'CPR Callblocker' gadgets from Maplin Electronics. Honestly, it’s better than I thought it would be - my phone still shows who's calling so I know it's them, but it won't ring. You can block specific numbers or all anonymous calls like Withheld or International ones. I’m not trying to sell anything here, but after trying loads of stuff, this reasonably priced little gadget has been the most effective, if you ask me.

I usually leave my small telly on in the kitchen even when I'm not really watching it, ‘cause we get loads of these annoying calls. Sometimes I just pick up the phone and stay quiet, or switch the volume on the TV up quick. It's actually quite funny for me if there's something strange on the box at the same time. When there's music, I crank it up louder. Every now and then I'll have a laugh and actually talk to them, giving silly replies. Like if they ask about computers, I might say, “Do I have an Apple? Nah, I’ve got a pear,” or “Are you hungry or something?” It can be quite entertaining if you’ve got time to waste, and at the end of the day, they’re the ones who dial.
