Some bloke with a thick Filipino accent called me, giving info that was at least ten years old. I didn’t bother answering his questions, said no thanks, and hung up, then blocked the number. Next day, a lady with a very similar number rang, also Filipino. I just keep blocking and reporting these calls!

These scam calls are just after your bank info to nick your money. Been getting loads from numbers like this one, with endings from 4301 to 4309, all the same spiel. They always ring late in the evening, like between 7.30 and 8.30 pm, which screams dodgy, no proper company would call then. I’ve started blocking all 020 numbers now as most of them seem to be shady call centres trying to con you. Blocked for good.

I got a call from some call centre with an Indian accent that was really hard to follow. They seemed to be asking me to agree to get adverts sent to me and to let other companies phone me, but honestly most of what they said just didn’t make sense to me, and I’m usually quite sharp. In the end, there was some recorded message saying I’d be able to opt out later, but they didn’t actually let me opt out or give me a proper choice.

Called by Consumer Direct. They wanted to ask some questions. I said no nicely since my baby was asleep in the next room. But the guy wasn’t having it and kept pushing, so I had to hang up quickly before the baby woke.

I’ve been getting calls from numbers that go 4307, 4308, and now 4309 just like someone else mentioned. All these are on my blocked list and staying there. I don’t pick up if I don’t recognise the number, and if it really matters, they can leave a message.
