Got a call from someone saying they were from Visa Card Security, worried about two payments on my Visa debit made overnight. The caller sounded like they were abroad, judging by the accent and the lag in voice, but they gave an English sounding name when I asked. However, when I tried to get my name or card details from them, they couldn’t provide anything. The phone number they rang from showed up as a local landline, on the same BT exchange as mine, which was a bit strange.
