Got a call from this number, some bloke claiming he’s from BT asking for my operation address or somethin’. Just a heads up, I’m gonna look into this on my own before trusting a word.

I got a call from 02083953728, and the bloke claimed someone had messed with my IP address and that it was visible to everyone. He wanted me to give him my IP so he could supposedly fix it. He asked about what gadgets I used, so just to see where he was going, I answered him a bit. Then he told me to grab a pen and paper and open my browser to type something like www.Google. I said I’m using BT Protect along with Norton safe search, which seemed to throw him off a little. Eventually, I made up some excuse and ended the call. Definitely felt dodgy. About five minutes later, I got another call from a different number - he recognised my voice and hung up straight away.
