I just got a call from 02083591970 but I’ve no clue who they were since my landline blocks all 020 numbers automatically. Given what others have said, I’m guessing it might be another dodgy insurance scam!

I reckon this was one of those dodgy washing machine insurance scams. I’d only just got a new washing machine last Saturday, so when someone called saying my warranty needed renewing, I was a bit puzzled. Since it came with a two year guarantee, I asked for more info. Then they wanted me to confirm my personal details, claiming they might have mixed things up. I told them I’m not comfortable sharing that stuff on the phone, and suddenly the line just cut off!

Got called twice today by some washing machine insurance scam. Told them to send me a renewal offer by post since they already have my address. Both times, they just hung up on me.

I received a call from an unfamiliar number today, and a lady on the line asked about my washing machine. It appeared she was trying to sell me an extended warranty at what she claimed was a fantastic deal. The moment she suggested we could sort everything out over the phone, I instantly realised it was a scam. Quite the dodgy tactic, really!
