Got a phone call from this number about some 'computer problem', but told them my 90-year-old mum doesn’t even have a PC. Then they hit me with a line saying it'd cost £19 to delete my number from their system - sounds like a total scam to me. I reckon some folks might just cough up to avoid the hassle. I honestly think these annoying cold calls should be made illegal!

I've been getting loads of calls from this number, but it just rings once and then cuts off every single time all day long.

I picked up the phone but there was silence on the other end. I said "hello" a few times, and then I heard a woman's voice, sounded kinda whispery or maybe hiding her real tone, say "goodbye" before the call just ended. I'm based in Hastings, New Zealand.

I called 02083116688 and got a message saying the number isn’t recognised.

When I picked up, the bloke asked if my wife Deborah was there.

He spoke with what sounded like an eastern European accent.

He claimed to be from Microsoft and asked if my computer was having issues.

Then he asked, “You have a computer, right?” I said no. After a quiet moment, I told him it’s okay to speak up, and he just ended the call.

Watch out for this one, he’s definitely up to no good!
