I answered the phone and barely got a chance to say anything before they hung up - like 5 seconds tops. I’ve noticed if it’s some random number I don’t recognise, I hold on to see if they actually say something, but most times they just cut the call really quick if no one replies. Caller ID helps a bit, but if it’s an unknown contact, I prefer to wait and see what the caller’s about before deciding.

Got a call from a guy with an Indian accent, asking all sorts of personal stuff. I told him flat out I don’t do questions from cold callers. He ended up telling me to "F#ck off and d##k off cancer" or something like that. Honestly, wish I knew where he was based, my husband would be keen to drop by and have a word.

I've been getting calls from 020 831 6056 quite a bit lately. It's getting really annoying now. The voices sound like they're from somewhere in Asia and they always ask some weird questions. The last call I had, which was on Sunday, the person asked me something about my washing machine! I just don't answer back properly, usually just say bye and hang up.

I had the pleasure of receiving a couple of silent calls on one occasion. The following day, they decided to give me a ring and prattled on about my washing machine. Believe me, this isn’t the first time I’ve told them to bugger off and not to bother me again. Seems like they haven't grasped the hint yet! I've reported them to OFCOM and the ICO, but it feels like nothing gets sorted. Quite frustrating, to say the least!

Got a few calls earlier today around 9am on the 23rd, and then the line just cut off suddenly. When I checked the caller ID, it showed 02083116056. Absolutely clueless who it could be or what they’re after. Got a call on Saturday morning, 21st of July, around 9:31. The guy on the other end had an Asian accent and asked if my wife was home by name. Said something about free Marks & Spencer vouchers he was giving away. I told him to stop calling me and blocked the number straight away. Sounds like someone working late hours, no idea why they're still ringing at that time.

Someone rang me saying they were from Hotpoint but as soon as I asked how they got my number, they just hung up. If they keep calling, I’m thinking about reporting them to the ICO, since with the new GDPR laws, companies like Hotpoint aren’t allowed to use outdated contact info.

It appears I’m receiving these calls on a daily basis now. I opt not to pick up, yet it’s as if they don’t take the hint. My caller ID certainly makes things a bit easier, mind you.
