Got a call from a man with an Indian accent saying I’d been charged too much for life insurance. He kept asking for my bank info to send me some money back. When I tried to ask about my policy, he dodged the questions and got rude when I didn’t want to share my details. Definitely a scam, be careful!

They kept asking for bank details and stuff about my income and if I had anyone depending on me. When I said no, they got really rude and started swearin. Went ahead and blocked their number cause it's clearly a scam tryin to catch people out.

Over the years, I've gotten quite a few calls from folks at L&G Life Insurance trying to do an annual check-up on my Aviva life insurance. This number rang me today with the exact same spiel. I told them I keep gettin these calls but I dont have my life cover with Aviva - then she just hung up right away!

They said they were from L & G life insurance, but when I asked why they were ringing, they claimed they were actually a different firm offering cheaper life insurance?!! When I questioned them further, they immediately wanted my bank info. I said no way, and then the guy told me to hang up and started swearing at me. Lovely! Blocked the number straight away.

Protect Life kept calling me about life insurance. They say they can give you the exact same coverage for less money. Their excuse is that they save by not paying claims. Sounds convincing but honestly, they’re just con artists. Never share or confirm any personal info with them.

Protect Life called me trying to sell me the exact same insurance I have with Legal & General, but cheaper. I asked how they knew I was already with L&G and the guy said they’d received my details and just needed to ask me some questions. His very first question was how much my current policy costs. Got a call from a woman at first who was trying to sell me a life insurance policy, asked for some info and then passed me over to an Asian bloke who asked even more questions about the policy. Sounded legit, like a proper insurance salesman. I ended up giving out a bit of my personal info by mistake. Then he asked for my card details and sort code, which I didn’t give, and after that they said they couldn’t continue and just hung up.
