4 yearsI’ve had a rather relentless individual contact me, claiming there was some sort of criminal activity occurring on my computer. They warned that if I didn’t cooperate, they would cut off my internet access. Quite the alarming situation, I must say!4 yearsThis morning, I received a phone call from this number. The individual on the other end had an Asian accent and was conversing in English. They claimed to be addressing an issue with my B.T. internet service. I informed them that my connection was perfectly fine and I wasn't experiencing any difficulties. After that, I simply hung up. Clearly, it was a scam attempt..4 yearsReceived a call from this number right after an earlier one. As soon as I answered with a cheery "hello," they promptly disconnected. The first call came from 02083953728 and the chap on the line was rambling about someone altering my IP address, insisting I check it and pass it along to him. Absolutely not happening! Seems quite suspicious, doesn’t it?4 yearsI received a rather peculiar call from the number 02083953728. The caller claimed that someone had supposedly altered my IP address and that it was now publicly accessible. He insisted I needed to provide him with my IP address so he could rectify the situation. When he inquired about the devices I own, I decided to string him along for a bit to see where this was leading. He then instructed me to fetch a pen and paper and navigate to my browser to type in www.Google, among other things. When I mentioned that I utilise BT Protect and Norton Safe Search, he sounded quite taken aback. Anyhow, I concocted a reason to end the call and swiftly hung up. It all felt extremely suspicious. Curiously enough, I believe he rang back just five minutes later from a different number but promptly disconnected upon recognising my voice.Google4 yearsHad a rather peculiar experience-a call came through, but the line was utterly quiet. Quite baffling, really!4 yearsI received a call from a gentleman with a South Asian accent who cheerfully greeted me with a "Good Morning". Since it was already well into the afternoon, I gently pointed out that it was, in fact, past lunchtime and that a "Good Afternoon" would be more appropriate. He replied that he typically starts his calls with "Good Morning" regardless of the time of day. I insisted, politely, that it was indeed afternoon. At that moment, he abruptly ended the call.Submit Your Own Report (020 8290 4543)
