The individual on the other end had an Asian accent and was conversing in English. They claimed to be addressing an issue with my B.T. internet service. I informed them that my connection was perfectly fine and I wasn't experiencing any difficulties. After that, I simply hung up. Clearly, it was a scam attempt..4 yearsReceived a call from this number right after an earlier one. As soon as I answered with a cheery "hello," they promptly disconnected. The first call came from 02083953728 and the chap on the line was rambling about someone altering my IP address, insisting I check it and pass it along to him. Absolutely not happening! He then instructed me to fetch a pen and paper and navigate to my browser to type in www.Google, among other things. When I mentioned that I utilise BT Protect and Norton Safe Search, he sounded quite taken aback. Anyhow, I concocted a reason to end the call and swiftly hung up. It all felt extremely suspicious. He replied that he typically starts his calls with "Good Morning" regardless of the time of day. I insisted, politely, that it was indeed afternoon.
