He insisted that I needed to disclose my IP address for him to rectify the situation. When he inquired about my devices, I decided to play along to see where this would lead. He then instructed me to fetch a pen and paper and to access my browser, directing me to type in www.Google, and so forth. When I mentioned that I utilised BT Protect and Norton Safe Search, he seemed quite baffled. Eventually, I fabricated an excuse to end the call. It felt extremely suspicious. Curiously, I believe he called back just five minutes later from a different number, but as soon as he recognised my voice, he promptly hung up.
