If you're curious about how these lot work, just google ‘msconfig spam’ and you’ll see the pattern. I kept the call going for a bit just to see what tricks they’d try, but the moment he figured I knew a bit about computers, he started getting rude and then just hung up. These scammers really need to be stopped!

dont pick up calls like this, they might try to get into your computer. i got a call from a guy claiming to be from "windows tech support" saying they needed to check my PC for some security issues. lucky for me, as soon as i mentioned im on the do not call list, they just ended the call. they even had my full name ready which freaked me out a bit.
