Loads of calls come through from 0208... numbers, and it seems Vodafone is backing these, just like with some others I’ve seen. From what I’ve dealt with, these numbers often belong to scammers or those fishing for info, usually folks speaking with an Indian accent. It’s pretty annoying how Vodafone doesn’t seem to stop this, basically allowing telemarketers and scammers to use their network. I’ve got no connections to anyone using this or any London numbers, and since my phone is on the TPS, I don’t bother answering dodgy calls - just let the phone ring out.
