Today, I received a staggering six calls from this particular number - thankfully, I can recognise unfamiliar digits. With my grandchildren around, I felt compelled to pick up. I received a call from a chap with a noticeable Indian accent claiming that my computer is riddled with a virus and on the brink of crashing within a fortnight. When I quizzed him on which specific device he was referring to, he blurted out 'your Windows computer'. I had to inform him that I don’t even own a Windows machine. He then insisted that someone else in my flat must be using one. When I mentioned that I live by myself, he pretended he couldn’t hear me properly. At that point, I decided enough was enough and ended the call!

Received a call from someone purporting to be from Windows and Microsoft. I was rather taken aback when I asked how they obtained my number, and they fumbled for an answer. I promptly told them that if they weren't a proper business, I’d have no choice but to contact the authorities. They seemed keen to end the conversation and hung up in a hurry!

It's clear that a select few individuals lack any moral compass whatsoever. Coming from a technical background, I immediately recognised the call as a scam attempt. I've reached out to the authorities, but unfortunately, they seem powerless to intervene, and BT isn’t much help either-fantastic, isn’t it? I feel it’s important to alert everyone about how these scammers operate; they’ll ask you to enter a code into your computer, which essentially locks it down. Once that’s done, they demand a fee to provide you with an unlock code. I decided to call their bluff-played along as if I were entering the code, and the woman on the other end just laughed, thinking she had me fooled. Just because I might be a bit ditzy doesn't mean I'm gullible!

This number has been ringing me on a daily basis, only to disconnect as soon as the answering machine kicks in. I've been ignoring the calls, but today my granddaughter thought she’d be helpful and picked up the phone, thankfully she didn’t speak. The caller hung up right away. I received a rather suspicious call from 02082621858, claiming that my Windows computer was allegedly sending out error alerts. Naturally, I probed a bit and asked for the serial number of my device, seeing as I have several computers and wanted to identify which one he was referring to. They possess the technology to tackle the issue, yet it seems they’re more focused on profiting from it. Spoke to an Asian lady who kept insisting I needed to switch on my computer so she could sort it out. She wasnt happy with that, kept saying she could fix it in just five minutes. It all sounded pretty convincing, but could be really risky for people who might easily fall for it.

Annoying telemarketer using the same old script. They told my husband his computer had a virus, but he told them he doesn’t even own a computer. Then they went and called him a LIAR! They rang again today, saying my husband worked in computer software. His reply was “SO WHAT!” We asked them nicely not to call again, but they phoned straight back. My husband asked for the company name to make a complaint about their rude behaviour, and the caller kindly “spelled it out” for us. Let’s just say it wasn’t very professional at all! Really takes the biscuit, doesn't it?

A few days back, I got a phone call from 02082621858. I told the caller I wasn't well and wasn't keen on discussing anything further. However, they rang me again today. When I questioned how they obtained my number, they attempted a rather dodgy explanation before abruptly hanging up. Later on, I received another call, this time from a woman-again with an Indian accent. I informed her that if there was an issue with my computer, I'd simply switch the operating system and could do without their assistance. Just to verify, I dialled 1471 and got that same number, but when I attempted to ring it back, it turned out to be unrecognised.

I received a call at precisely 10:58 on the 11th of July, 2015. The caller claimed to be from Microsoft Windows Support. I instructed him to erase my number from their records and to refrain from contacting me in the future. I got a call from this number today around 1:32pm. The lady on the phone had an Indian accent and said my computer was seriously infected with a virus. She said not to worry because she was there to fix it. I told her straight up that I don’t even own a computer, but she just kept on pushing me to switch it on. Got a call today from an Asian woman claiming to be from Windows, saying there was an issue with my PC. The number showed as 0208 so I picked up, but soon saw it was a scam. I told her she was breaking the law since I’m on the telephone preference service. She hung up straight away. This comes after nearly fortnight of calls from some company saying they’re based on Banbury Road in Oxford. Bit annoyed to say the least. Is it worth filing a complaint? Got a call from a bloke with an Indian accent claiming he was from the Computer Maintenance Department. He said there was an issue with my Windows computer and asked if I was the main user. When I asked for his company name, he said it was Windows PC Care. I told him I don’t even own a computer. Then he asked if I was going to report him to the police because I’d noted down his company name. I said yeah, I needed to report it so I’d have his full details. He said it was alright, that he was a genuine caller and not some scammer. Who does he think he’s fooling?!

This number has called me 6 times yesterday and 3 times already today! I received one of those classic "We've detected a problem with your computer" calls today. The chap on the other end turned quite nasty when I refused to follow his instructions. He went on about how he and his compatriots have come to our country solely to exploit us, deriving pleasure from causing annoyance, and claimed they’re actually profiting from this. Usually, I play along with these calls, telling the person-often with an Indian accent-that I need a moment to check the computer, and then just leave them waiting indefinitely. But today, I was in the mood for a bit of confrontation instead. He clearly wasn’t prepared for that. Just to put it in perspective, I'm 71 years old.

I've had a few calls in the past couple days, just weird sounds but no one talking when I pick up. I'm on the TPS list, but can't seem to file a complaint since I don't know who the caller is.

I keep getting calls from this number multiple times a day, and it’s really getting on my nerves. Every time I pick up, there’s no one on the other end, and after about ten seconds, the call just cuts off. It’s incredibly frustrating! I’m not even a BT customer, so I’m wondering if anyone has any suggestions on how to deal with this. If they are indeed a BT subscriber, you’d think the company should intervene and rectify the situation or at least disconnect their number. Anyone have any ideas?

They’ve been ringing my home phone every single day for the last six weeks, and it’s getting a bit ridiculous now. Is there really no way to trace them and put a stop to it?

I got a call from an Asian man saying there was something wrong with my computer, and when I said I wasn't bothered, he told me to 'f.k off and suck my d.k'. I just ended the call and have since arranged for a call blocker through BT.

These calls are driving me up the wall, happening as much as twice daily! I dash down the stairs, nearly stumbling over the dogs in my haste, only to find it's Elsie, David, Fred, or Sam from India ringing up to inform me about some imaginary virus I've supposedly contracted. It’s utterly infuriating! If anyone has any tips on how to put an end to this nonsense, I would truly appreciate it.

Keeps ringing my number over and over but when I pick up no one says anything. I can hear voices in the distance though. It’s getting really annoying and feels like harassment.

Got a call from an asian bloke claiming to be from computer repair. Said he wanted to fix my PC but when I told him I can handle it myself, he turned proper rude. I told him off and ended the call.

Got a call from an Asian guy claiming to be from "Windows" saying my computer had some problem. When I told him there wasn’t anything wrong with it, he got pretty annoyed. I just ended the call after that.

Some bloke said he was from Windows and wanted to get into my PC remotely. I asked him for his info and he just started shouting nonsense at me. These scammers seriously lack any kind of professionalism or credibility. Gave me a good chuckle to be honest.

Vindows global computer networks. Bloody annoying Asian bloke, total scammer. Told him to bugger off and filed a complaint with BT and TPS for harassment. Also blocked the number on my phone so they can't call again.

This number has been calling my home non-stop the last few days. Some Asian lady with awful English was trying to chat to me about some issue with my Windows. I told her I wasn’t buying it and hung up. They keep calling but when I answer, there’s just silence. Next time I’ll tell them I’ve reported them to the cops, and they’re working with the international police on it!

I received a call earlier today from someone looking to speak to the individual who owns the computer. However, as soon as I inquired about the name of the person he was after, he promptly disconnected the call. Strange behaviour, wouldn’t you agree?

Got a bunch of calls this week. Normally I don't pick up, but today I did. The bloke sounded Indian and said he was from Windows. I told him straight off, 'please don't call me again'. He just said he'll keep ringing no matter what. Mum got one of these calls too, and she definitely hasn't got a computer!

Received a rather curious phone call from this number earlier today, with the caller claiming they were from Microsoft and inquiring whether I was the proprietor of my computer. Given that I exclusively use Apple Macs at home and have spent the last quarter of a century working in IT, I decided to indulge the caller to see how the conversation would unfold. However, it seemed as though he quickly realised my predicament and promptly ended the call. To anyone who encounters such unsolicited calls, I cannot emphasise enough: do not follow any advice these individuals offer, nor disclose any personal information. It's always wiser to seek help from a reliable source for any tech-related difficulties you might face.

I receive multiple calls from this number daily, which baffles me since I'm ex-directory. I'm uncertain how they managed to get my number. I usually just hang up as there's often a delay before they start speaking, and it's rather annoying.

Had the exact same thing happen to me, the bloke was super pushy and really hard to get what he was saying! Didn’t get the hint when I told him to leave me alone!

I received a call from these folks just as the FA Cup final kicked off! It’s eerily reminiscent of what many others have reported. They claim to be from Windows technical support, but their accents are unmistakably Indian or Asian. Given that I’m ex-directory, I can only surmise my number got sold off somewhere along the line by BT’s tech support team based in India. BT, it’s high time you put an end to this nonsense!

I’ve been receiving a barrage of calls throughout the day, and it’s always the same - mostly silence on the other end. Clearly a scam. A few times I’ve caught an Asian voice trying to peddle something. To make matters worse, I’ve also received dodgy emails in the past. I can’t help but feel that someone at the BT Asian support centre might be handing out our personal details. I’m meant to be ex-directory, yet those scam emails contained far too much of my private information to be mere coincidence.
