This number called me six times today, which I noticed right away since I recognise the caller. At last I picked up because I’ve got my grandkids here and wanted to see who it was. Got a call from a bloke with an Indian accent claiming my computer had a virus and would die within a fortnight. When I asked which computer he meant, he said my 'Windows machine'. I told him I don’t even own a Windows PC, then he insisted someone else at my place must be on one. I told him I live by myself and he mumbled something about not hearing me properly. Ended up slamming the phone down on him!

Honestly, some folks seem to have zero morals. I work in tech, so when they called me, I was already suspicious it was a scam. I reported it to the police, but they said there’s nothing they can do, and BT was no help either - brilliant, right? So just to warn everyone, these scammers try to convince you to enter a code that ends up locking your computer completely. Then, they demand money to give you another code to unlock it. I played along, pretending to input the code, and she actually laughed like she had me fooled. I might be blonde, but I’m no fool!

Spoke to an Asian lady who kept insisting I needed to switch on my computer so she could sort it out. Annoying telemarketer using the same old script. They told my husband his computer had a virus, but he told them he doesn’t even own a computer. Then they went and called him a LIAR! They rang again today, saying my husband worked in computer software. His reply was “SO WHAT!” We asked them nicely not to call again, but they phoned straight back. My husband asked for the company name to make a complaint about their rude behaviour, and the caller kindly “spelled it out” for us. Let’s just say it wasn’t very professional at all! Really takes the biscuit, doesn't it?

A few days back, I got a ring from 02082621858. Told the bloke I wasn’t feeling great and wasn’t interested. Today, he rang me again, and when I asked where he found my number, he gave some dodgy answer and then just hung up. Later on, a woman called, also with an Indian accent. I told her if my computer had issues, I’d just switch the operating system and didn’t want any help. To make sure, I phoned 1471 and was given that same number, but when I tried to ring it back, it just wouldn’t connect.

She said not to worry because she was there to fix it. I told her straight up that I don’t even own a computer, but she just kept on pushing me to switch it on. Got a call today from an Asian woman claiming to be from Windows, saying there was an issue with my PC. The number showed as 0208 so I picked up, but soon saw it was a scam. I told her she was breaking the law since I’m on the telephone preference service. She hung up straight away. This comes after nearly fortnight of calls from some company saying they’re based on Banbury Road in Oxford. Bit annoyed to say the least. Is it worth filing a complaint? Also how do they use an 0208 number if they’re actually abroad? Can anyone shed light on this?

Got a call from a bloke with an Indian accent claiming he was from the Computer Maintenance Department. He said there was an issue with my Windows computer and asked if I was the main user. When I asked for his company name, he said it was Windows PC Care. I told him I don’t even own a computer. Then he asked if I was going to report him to the police because I’d noted down his company name. I said yeah, I needed to report it so I’d have his full details. He said it was alright, that he was a genuine caller and not some scammer. Who does he think he’s fooling?!

Got one of those typical “your computer has issues” calls today. The bloke went proper nasty when I didn’t do what he asked. He started banging on about how he and his mates come over here just to take the mickey out of us and rake in cash from it, saying they actually enjoy annoying folks. These callers keep buzzing me, sometimes even a few times every day. When I pick up, there’s no one speaking and the call just drops after around ten seconds. Couple of weeks back I left a comment here and since then these lot have tried ringing me a couple more times. Just like before, they asked if I owned a computer and if it was switched on. I said yes, and then they said they’d get a supervisor on the line. I waited about half a minute and then the call just dropped. Felt like they were trying to get into my system during that wait - lucky for me, I use Macs on the EE network so can’t imagine they got anything. When they must’ve realised that, they just cut off. I’ve tried blocking their number using the fancy BT phones I have, but no luck - calls still come through like nothing. Guess I’m going to have to lodge another complaint with BT again. Funny enough, ever since I switched to BT all these dodgy calls have ramped up, which I’m sure can’t be a coincidence even though I went ex-directory and signed up for all the anti-spam call schemes. Just goes to show... ;)

For the past month and a half, this number has been ringing my landline every single day. It's driving me mad! Are there any ways to get them traced and stopped? Seems like something should be done about it, right?

I got a call from an Asian man saying there was something wrong with my computer, and when I said I wasn't bothered, he told me to 'f.k off and suck my d.k'. I just ended the call and have since arranged for a call blocker through BT.

I get these calls all the time, sometimes even a couple in a day, and it's sooo irritating. I rush downstairs, almost knocking over the dogs, just to answer the phone, only to hear Elsie, David, Fred or Sam from India telling me my computer’s got a virus. Does anyone know how to put a stop to these calls?

Keeps ringing my number over and over but when I pick up no one says anything. I can hear voices in the distance though. It’s getting really annoying and feels like harassment.

Got a call from an asian bloke claiming to be from computer repair. Said he wanted to fix my PC but when I told him I can handle it myself, he turned proper rude. I told him off and ended the call.

Got a call from an Asian guy claiming to be from "Windows" saying my computer had some problem. When I told him there wasn’t anything wrong with it, he got pretty annoyed. I just ended the call after that.

Some woman rang me from this number saying she had just got a message from Microsoft about a serious virus on my PC. She asked me to open the computer settings so she could show me the infection and help fix it (so kind of her, eh?). I took my time and politely said it was odd since the antivirus software I use hadn’t found anything, and asked what company she was actually with. Then the call just cut off. Definitely a scam, pure and simple. I reckon if she had phoned my mam or dad, they might have fallen for it. Make sure you tell everyone you know: Microsoft never rings you to warn about a virus. Nobody does. This same number has called my place three times now, latest being today, 10/06/15 around midday.

Some bloke said he was from Windows and wanted to get into my PC remotely. I asked him for his info and he just started shouting nonsense at me. These scammers seriously lack any kind of professionalism or credibility. Gave me a good chuckle to be honest.

I keep getting calls that suddenly drop, like they stay quiet for a bit then just hang up. Seems like they're calling loads of people at once and whoever answers quickest gets through. Guess it's some kind of auto-dialling scheme.

Vindows global computer networks. Bloody annoying Asian bloke, total scammer. Told him to bugger off and filed a complaint with BT and TPS for harassment. Also blocked the number on my phone so they can't call again.

This number has been calling my home non-stop the last few days. Some Asian lady with awful English was trying to chat to me about some issue with my Windows. I told her I wasn’t buying it and hung up. They keep calling but when I answer, there’s just silence. Next time I’ll tell them I’ve reported them to the cops, and they’re working with the international police on it!

Got a bunch of calls this week. Normally I don't pick up, but today I did. The bloke sounded Indian and said he was from Windows. I told him straight off, 'please don't call me again'. He just said he'll keep ringing no matter what. Mum got one of these calls too, and she definitely hasn't got a computer!

Got a call from this number today claiming to be from Microsoft, asking if I owned the PC. Since I only have Apple Macs at home and have done IT work for over two decades, I decided to humour them to see what would happen next. After a while, I reckon they realised I wasn’t the typical target and ended the call. If anyone else gets these kind of unsolicited calls, be careful not to follow any of their directions or share your details. It’s way better to get help from a reliable and official source whenever you’ve got computer problems.

Right in the middle of the FA Cup final, I got a call from these lot. Same story as others here, they ring up pretending to be from Windows tech support with thick Indian or Asian accents. I'm ex-directory, so I reckon my number’s been leaked by BT’s tech team in India or something. BT seriously need to put a stop to this rubbish as soon as possible.
