The only thing they borrowed against in recent history was their mortgage, which they settled all the way back in 1985! I keep getting these persistent phone calls from someone claiming they've got some kind of cash ready for me linked to a PPI claim regarding a loan. They were quite pushy, insisting I disclose which bank was involved. I flat out told the chap that I don’t talk about my financial matters over the phone and suggested he simply send me a cheque if there’s any payout. He insisted he needed to confirm he had the right individual before proceeding. At that point, I decided to hang up, but lo and behold, he rang me back immediately! I made it clear I wasn’t interested and ended the conversation.

I've received a couple of calls from this number today-first at 09:50 and then again at 15:44. The bloke on the line, who said he was called Mike, claimed to be representing Cornwall County Council concerning an accident I apparently had. I informed him that we have no record of such a claim, and just like that, the line went dead. It's been a right nuisance, as I've been inundated with these sorts of calls for days now. Not entirely sure how to tackle this, and trying to ring them back is a no-go.

I can't help but feel a sense of déjà vu with all these remarks. It seems the entire UK is inundated with these irritating phone calls, yet there's a distinct lack of action to tackle the issue. To manage the situation, I've invested in a rather inexpensive answering machine to keep tabs on the incoming calls. That seems to have sorted the dilemma for me! Now, I can avoid the endless stream of dodgy calls from overseas, particularly those pesky ones coming from India and such.

Received a call today from someone with an accent that seemed entirely foreign, and their voice had that odd muffled quality, as if they were submerged! I told them I couldn't make heads or tails of what they were saying and suggested they sort out their signal before continuing the conversation. After that, I just hung up on them. It’s become quite the persistent bother since they seem to ring around the same time daily. It's more of a tedious irritant, to be honest. Given that it's a business line, we can't just ignore these calls, just in case it’s something important!

I received a couple of calls today, both rather suspicious. The first claimed to be representing a consumer advocacy group, yet when I inquired about the name, they couldn’t provide one. The second caller insisted they were reaching out on behalf of major national charities. I promptly requested that my details be removed from their distribution list in both instances. Next time, I reckon I’ll employ my usual tactic: I’ll say someone’s knocked at the door and then leave the phone by the television. They’re not permitted to end the call, so I’ve had instances where I’ve kept them on the line for a good 50 minutes before they finally gave up. It certainly seems more effective than simply hanging up!

Earlier today, around 4:50 PM, I received a call from a gentleman who had an accent reminiscent of Indian descent. He was quite insistent in asserting that I owed some sort of unpaid PPI linked to a personal loan I allegedly had with Lloyds TSB between 2003 and 2006. He urged me to jot down a figure of £4,000, claiming I'd been mis-sold PPI that I never actually had any use for and certainly never claimed. He then attempted to transfer me to his financial division, advising me to remain upbeat and relay everything he had instructed me to write down. Oddly enough, he was aware of my complete name and address. Shortly after ending our conversation, I received another call from the number 01618501136, a number I had previously blocked.

Absolutely infuriating! It's clearly a call centre with no clue about what they’re doing. They keep hounding me, quite forcefully, and this has become a daily ordeal. They’re probing about some so-called 'loan' I supposedly took out, but when I inquired about the lender's name, they were completely stumped! Apparently, they were just doing a verification call, which is why they couldn’t provide any specifics about this mysterious loan of mine! What a farce!
