Somebody called me, but as soon as it went to my voicemail they just ended the call. When I managed to ring back, there was this American sounding voice telling me I'd reached National Debt or something like that. It said to press 9 if I wanted to opt out, but right after, a woman’s voice quickly told me to just hang up. Really strange situation!

Got a call from someone claiming to be Indian saying my boiler had an issue. Seemed dodgy. There's a show on PANORAMA at 8.30 tonight that’s revealing these boiler room scams where people ring pretending to be from Microsoft. Worth a watch, really opened my eyes!

I kept asking her what debts she was talking about and who she was exactly, but before I could get a proper answer, the call just cut off. Got a call from a lady with a really thick foreign accent claiming there was some kind of government scheme for a free boiler swap. When I asked her to clarify which scheme it was, she just ended the call straight away. Honestly, you’d think these scammers would realise by now that most Brits aren’t easy to fool and we know all about these tricks. Still, it’s heartbreaking to think how some older folks living alone might get taken in by this nonsense!
