Got a dodgy recorded message that claimed to be from HMRC, saying there was a “time sensitive” problem I needed to sort out. The number was blocked, though, so I just ignored it. Definitely a scam if you ask me.

Got a call and there was this weird robotic message - I reckon it's some kind of scam. Haven't bothered calling them back at all.

So a voicemail came through but it was only half there. I was curious enough to call the number back, and this lady answered really smoothly saying, “thanks for calling HMRC!” I told her I wasn’t expecting to speak with them and just ended the call. She definitely sounded proper and knew her stuff.
