Since starting to work from home all the time, I’ve noticed just how many annoying spam calls hit my landline throughout the day! I’ve stopped picking up any calls from unfamiliar numbers altogether. If it was something important from a genuine company, they’d leave a voicemail, right? But no, the dodgy scammers always hang up without leaving a message, probably 'cause they don’t want to get caught or something.

So I got a call from a number that was blocked and they were saying I’d won some sort of survey prize. Total scam from what I can tell! Pretty obvious it was dodgy.

Im not exactly sure what this guy was after. He sounded young and kinda unclear about his reason for calling. At first, he muttered something about collecting stuff, then switched to talking about a recipe book. I could hear kids shouting in the background, then he just got silent. So i ended the call. This same number has been ringing me loads over the last few days but ive stopped picking up now.
