3 yearsAn Asian chap has been quite the nuisance. He insisted he was phoning from BT and has already called me seven times today.BT3 yearsI've simply had enough of these bothersome calls! They are beyond irritating now!4 yearsTried calling 02081752925 but no response, figured it was probably a scammer so I didn't bother.4 yearsSome bloke rang me claiming he was from the government, saying I had £3000 owed to me for PPI. He asked if I'd rather have the money paid directly into my bank or sent as a cheque. When he wanted my sort code and account number, I told him I'd prefer a cheque instead. Then he said a cheque and some official documents from a solicitor would be sent to me, but I’d need to show ID, like my passport, when they arrive. I asked a few questions, but he dodged them all, so I told him it sounded fishy and just hung up.4 yearsSomeone called saying I was due £3000.00 and asked if I wanted it sent by cheque or straight into my bank. When they asked my opinion, I just said I didn’t want anything to do with it, then the bloke just ended the call.4 yearsThey claimed to be from the Financial Conduct Authority and told me I had £3000 in PPI compensation to collect. They wanted to know if I preferred a bank transfer or a cheque. I chose cheque. Then they tried to confirm my address and gave me an old one of mine, so I corrected them with my current address. After that, it just went quiet on the line, so I ended the call. Sounds like the experience another person mentioned too.Financial Conduct Authority4 yearsI got a call claiming there was £3000 waiting for me from PPI, asking if I wanted it sent by cheque or bank transfer. I told them to just send a cheque since they already have my info. They got really quiet after that, so I just ended the call.4 yearsI got a call from someone claiming to be the tax office, telling me I had some money owed. They wanted my card info, bank details and even asked for my date of birth. When I tried ringing back on the same number, it just went straight to voicemail. Definitely dodgy!4 yearsI just received a rather baffling phone call from this number. The chap on the other end was incomprehensible, mumbling something about how I might prefer to receive funds from a so-called claim. I promptly informed him that I've never submitted a claim in my life and asked him to take my number off their list. However, before I could even finish my sentence, he cut the line. What I find particularly strange is that he used my work number instead of my personal one. It all seems quite suspicious, if you ask me!4 yearsGot a call earlier from a number linked to a company, the person said she was from British Gas, sounded like an Asian woman but the connection was terrible. She was asking about someone who’s not been around for over six years and trying to verify some account info. Didn’t bother continuing the call after that.British Gas4 yearsThis chap claimed to be from British Gas and requested to have a word with the account holder. When I informed him that we don't actually have an account with them, his tone shifted in a rather odd manner, which prompted me to end the call. Not long after, he proceeded to bombard me with calls-about thirty in total! When I finally picked up and asked him to cease calling, he responded rather rudely with a profanity. What a right nuisance!British Gas4 yearsThey actually threatened me.4 yearsThere was quite a racket in the background! Seemed like they were trying to dig up some information. I'm with BT Business here in the Thames Valley, and this caller claimed to be from BT, asking about a new order. The problem is, their details were all over the place and not at all correct.Thames ValleyBT4 yearsI requested that he return my call in an hour, but I never heard back from him. When I tried to reach him again, I was met with the same old voicemail. How frustrating! 🤔4 yearssome bloke called saying he was from bt and that my internet would be cut off, but i work with bt all the time as i manage like 40 broadband accounts so i know this isn’t how they do things. he was a really pushy asian guy, quite rude too.BT5 yearsGot a call off someone saying they were from BTI, said my contract with BT had just been renewed. Thing is, they rang my personal mobile not my work line, but somehow they knew my work address linked to the contract. I told them straight up I don’t deal with calls like that or give out info, and that I’d call BT directly if needed. They started getting cheeky, so I ended up blocking the number.BT5 yearskept getting calls from someone saying they were with british gas but wouldnt give any details, if they were really from british gas they should have all my info already!British Gas5 yearsKeep ignoring these calls, they say they're from British Gas or BT but it's just a dodgy scam. They just keep ringing non stop, definitely don't pick up. Total con artists.British GasBT5 yearsHad a call from this pushy guy with an Asian accent saying he was with BT.
