An Asian chap has been quite the nuisance. He insisted he was phoning from BT and has already called me seven times today.

I've simply had enough of these bothersome calls! They are beyond irritating now!

Tried calling 02081752925 but no response, figured it was probably a scammer so I didn't bother.

Some bloke rang me claiming he was from the government, saying I had £3000 owed to me for PPI. He asked if I'd rather have the money paid directly into my bank or sent as a cheque. When he wanted my sort code and account number, I told him I'd prefer a cheque instead. Then he said a cheque and some official documents from a solicitor would be sent to me, but I’d need to show ID, like my passport, when they arrive. I asked a few questions, but he dodged them all, so I told him it sounded fishy and just hung up.

Someone called saying I was due £3000.00 and asked if I wanted it sent by cheque or straight into my bank. When they asked my opinion, I just said I didn’t want anything to do with it, then the bloke just ended the call.

They claimed to be from the Financial Conduct Authority and told me I had £3000 in PPI compensation to collect. They wanted to know if I preferred a bank transfer or a cheque. I chose cheque. Then they tried to confirm my address and gave me an old one of mine, so I corrected them with my current address. After that, it just went quiet on the line, so I ended the call. Sounds like the experience another person mentioned too.

I got a call claiming there was £3000 waiting for me from PPI, asking if I wanted it sent by cheque or bank transfer. I told them to just send a cheque since they already have my info. They got really quiet after that, so I just ended the call.

I got a call from someone claiming to be the tax office, telling me I had some money owed. They wanted my card info, bank details and even asked for my date of birth. When I tried ringing back on the same number, it just went straight to voicemail. Definitely dodgy!

I just received a rather baffling phone call from this number. The chap on the other end was incomprehensible, mumbling something about how I might prefer to receive funds from a so-called claim. I promptly informed him that I've never submitted a claim in my life and asked him to take my number off their list. However, before I could even finish my sentence, he cut the line. What I find particularly strange is that he used my work number instead of my personal one. It all seems quite suspicious, if you ask me!

Got a call earlier from a number linked to a company, the person said she was from British Gas, sounded like an Asian woman but the connection was terrible. She was asking about someone who’s not been around for over six years and trying to verify some account info. Didn’t bother continuing the call after that.

This chap claimed to be from British Gas and requested to have a word with the account holder. When I informed him that we don't actually have an account with them, his tone shifted in a rather odd manner, which prompted me to end the call. Not long after, he proceeded to bombard me with calls-about thirty in total! When I finally picked up and asked him to cease calling, he responded rather rudely with a profanity. What a right nuisance!

There was quite a racket in the background! Seemed like they were trying to dig up some information. I'm with BT Business here in the Thames Valley, and this caller claimed to be from BT, asking about a new order. The problem is, their details were all over the place and not at all correct.

I requested that he return my call in an hour, but I never heard back from him. When I tried to reach him again, I was met with the same old voicemail. How frustrating! 🤔

some bloke called saying he was from bt and that my internet would be cut off, but i work with bt all the time as i manage like 40 broadband accounts so i know this isn’t how they do things. he was a really pushy asian guy, quite rude too.

Got a call off someone saying they were from BTI, said my contract with BT had just been renewed. Thing is, they rang my personal mobile not my work line, but somehow they knew my work address linked to the contract. I told them straight up I don’t deal with calls like that or give out info, and that I’d call BT directly if needed. They started getting cheeky, so I ended up blocking the number.

Had a call from this pushy guy with an Asian accent saying he was with BT. He knew some stuff about my accounts which made it sound legit, but then he started asking for my DOB and address saying they’d disconnect us if we didn’t give it. Felt a bit dodgy to me.

I got a call from a lady, sounded Asian, who said she was ringing from British Gas, offering some "limited time" gas and electricity deal. The moment she asked for my details, alarm bells rang in my head. Pretty sure it was a scam, so watch out and don't pick up from that number again. Block it!

Someone called me pretending to be from BT and seemed to know way too much about my account. Just a heads up, if it’s really BT, they’ll always send you a PIN before any call about your account. I’ve reported it both to BT and to Action Fraud UK. Definitely take care and don’t fall for it!

i kept getting calls from some bloke who sounded like he was overseas, maybe using a mobile or some payphone, but it showed up as a London number somehow, probably through a SIP server or somethin'. every time he ringed, it came from a different number. at first, he said he was from Amazon and that there was a problem with my account, which was a load of rubbish since i don't even have one. then he got proper nasty, threatening all sorts, even saying stuff about my mum. defo gotta get this reported to the cops.
