My elderly mum got a call from this number earlier. Luckily, as soon as she picked up, the call dropped straight away. After seeing what others have said here, I’ve warned her to just ignore it if it rings back. I’ve labelled the number as unknown since we never actually spoke to anyone.

I keep getting calls purporting to be from HM Revenue and Customs. The most recent one threatened me with arrest unless I pressed button 1 on my phone. It's quite alarming!

Got a voicemail from this number 02081673402, some lady saying she’s from HMRC. She left a message about a tax avoidance issue and told me to get in touch with them. Pretty sure it’s one of those dodgy HMRC scam calls.

Got a call on my phone from this number and it was a woman's voice leaving a message saying HMRC had started court action against me over tax evasion. I looked up the number on this site and then reported it to the HMRC phishing squad.

Yesterday I got a call, but my phone never actually rang. Instead, there was a voicemail saying something about it being urgent and not to ignore it. I decided to just block the number straight away.

Today I got a call from this number, and they left a voicemail about something 'time sensitive.' I also got a similar call from 07037094392. The only thing I got from the call was the number 1673402, which didn’t mean anything to me at all.

Got a call with an automated voice, sounded a bit pushy, telling me not to ignore their message cause it was urgent... but then they never left any actual message! Weird.

I got a call from someone claiming to be from HMRC. When I challenged him, he flipped out and started being really aggressive, even threatened to cut my throat and said stuff about my mum. Such a charming bloke he was.

Somebody from hmre rang me up and started going on about court stuff against me. I told them I’m on universal credit and then they just cut me off.

I didn’t catch the call at first, but when I redialled the number, they requested my private information before revealing their identity. I pressed for more details about who I was talking to and what company was behind the call. After a bit of insistence, the caller finally introduced himself as "Eric" from HMRC. Just a heads up - it reeks of a scam, so steer clear of answering!

I received a phone call at precisely 11 this morning from an automated voice claiming to be from HMRC, stating they wanted to talk about my HMRC case. It really felt off and untrustworthy-I'd strongly recommend steering clear of such calls!

I received a rather pressing voicemail from this number, urging me to return the call without delay. Curious, I dialled in and asked the caller to clarify which company they represented and what the matter was about. To my astonishment, they claimed to be from the HMRC tax office and began probing for my personal information. It hit me then - this was a scam! I promptly hung up. Just moments later, to my disbelief, the same number, 0208 167 3402, was ringing again.

I got a call from this number, and they left a rather urgent message indicating my reply was crucial. When I tried to return the call, I was directed immediately to a voicemail. After reading the comments on this site, I think I’ll spare myself the trouble of calling back.

I've just had a similar experience myself. An automated male voice claiming to be from HMRC insisted that I urgently return his call. I also received a rather dodgy call from someone purporting to be from Halifax. Best advice? Don't pick up if you see these numbers!

I answered the call and was greeted by a pre-recorded voice claiming to be from HMRC, instructing me to return the call to the number displayed on my screen (which they even read out). They made it sound urgent, warning me that I shouldn’t disregard the message. It was clearly a fraudulent call, as HMRC doesn’t have my phone number-they only have my email. Plus, my tax matters are all handled automatically through my employer, so there was absolutely no reason for them to contact me. A classic scam, if ever I saw one!

Received a call from someone claiming to be from HMRC. They wanted me to verify my name and other personal information, but I declined to do so. The caller had a strong accent-sounded a bit like Mandarin? They wrapped up the conversation by wishing me a pleasant day before hanging up.

I received a call on my mobile and it went straight to voicemail. An automated voice prompted me to return the call, mentioning that the issue was ‘urgent’. No details were provided about their identity or even my name was mentioned. It’s likely a scam, as those who’ve returned the call claim they’ve ended up speaking to someone impersonating HMRC.
