When I asked how much they thought I was paying, the woman stuck to her rehearsed lines and wouldn’t answer directly. I kept asking for the amount I was supposedly paying but she just went back to her script. Eventually I told her to quit dodging the question. Then she tried to put me through to some admin person, but I told her not to bother and hung up. For the record, I don’t even have any drainage cover in the first place!

Got a call from a guy claiming to be with Direct Repairs, talking about a contract we supposedly have. We don’t have any contract with them or even know who they are. He tried to say it was just some minor changes to the terms and that there was no problem. Hung up straight away. This isn’t the first time they’ve called either. Would steer clear of these lot.

The first calls were about drains, but now it’s all about boiler insurance.
