He sounded quite credible, but I remained highly sceptical. I played along, pretended to be intrigued, but it soon became apparent that he was fishing for my personal details. The call was interrupted multiple times, and when he rang back, he oddly claimed he was from Vodafone. He failed to offer any means of verifying his identity, and when I suggested it might be a scam, he became unexpectedly irate before abruptly ending the conversation. Take heed, it's definitely a con!
