Claimed to be calling from my network provider-didn't even mention the company name-saying that I was due a complimentary upgrade. Then, they began to probe for my personal information. I told them I wasn't interested, as it all reeked of a con, and ended the call. I could swear I heard them muttering something unsavoury as I hung up!

I received a call from someone purporting to be with EE, complete with an Indian accent. I found it rather dodgy when they mentioned my number had been 'chosen' for a 30% discount. I asked them to verify their identity, but conveniently, they couldn't due to "privacy concerns" - classic red flag! Ha! I pointed out that it sounded suspiciously like a scam, and if it wasn't, their marketing strategy was woefully executed. Ended the call and promptly decided to check things out here.
