Received yet another annoying call at half past eight this morning, on the 24th of October. As a 76-year-old dealing with health issues, I often dash to answer the phone, hoping it's family on the line. Luckily, since I can see the number, I just let it ring. Cheers for that!

Utter fraudsters! They pretend to be from your 'internet provider' but conveniently forget to specify which one. If you press them, they’ll take a wild stab at it (they got it wrong for me) and start waffling on about how your router is apparently being bogged down by viruses. They'll probe you with questions about rebooting and the like, before attempting to persuade you to link your computer to theirs via TeamViewer. This gives them carte blanche to control your device! Once they have access, they can rummage through your passwords, files, and even unleash malicious software. For heaven's sake, don’t heed their instructions, and make sure to report them to Action Fraud immediately!
