We get calls like this all the time, some days I find it kinda fun to mess with them a bit - then they get proper mad. I told them we spend £300 a month, they sounded excited at first, then quickly switched to £30 every three months. Maybe next time I’ll go all out and say £1000 a month. They’re such a hassle.

I keep receiving phone calls from Direct Energy Services, supposedly ringing in from London, yet no one seems to sound remotely British. Honestly, their rudeness is downright astounding! They keep insisting they can offer me cheaper energy rates. I told them I had no interest, and instead of taking the hint, they argued back and even called me a 'thick idiot.' After I hung up, they had the audacity to ring me three more times, one of them telling me to 'go and do one.' It was actually quite amusing, but my laughter doesn’t seem to put them off. They ring me every single day, often multiple times. I keep blocking their numbers, yet they somehow manage to find new ones to bother me with. If only I could find a way to put an end to this!

What a bunch of absolute nincompoops! They're masquerading as if they're calling from a London number but with one digit chopped off. They've donned all sorts of disguises - from the UK Energy Council to E.ON, and even a tech company claiming there’s an issue with your computer! I’ve got a hunch their shady operations might be based in India or Pakistan, especially since some of the calls show up as international. Clearly, they’re up to no good. Best to give them a proper telling-off and hang up immediately. Don’t entertain these con artists for a second!

These muppets rang me today pretending to be from the UK Energy Council, saying the National Grid had made complaints. I asked to speak to a manager, but they were just as clueless as the first person. Their English was awful, they were really rude and kept dodging my questions. The only thing I got out of them was that they were calling from London, but no other useful details to help warn anyone else. Honestly, I’m worried these muppets might be trying to scam folks.

I had a rather dodgy phone call the other day from a woman who had a distinct Asian accent. She claimed to be representing the Direct Energy Board, insisting that there was a complaint regarding my business electricity billing - apparently, I was being overcharged! She seemed quite eager to find out how much I was currently paying. I made it clear that I don't share business details with cold callers, but she rebutted my point by saying that it wasn’t sensitive information. Despite her persistence, I stood my ground and declined to share anything. After that, her tone took a rather nasty turn, and she told me where to go, accompanied by a few choice words that weren’t particularly polite!

An assertive gentleman of Asian descent, purporting to represent a body known as the Direct Energy Board, contacted me recently. He stated that there's been a query from the National Grid Station regarding my business and its electricity consumption. According to him, my newly installed smart meter is apparently inflating my charges by around 30% for each unit, all because of my location relative to the transmission station. He claimed that while my actual usage is 19,000 units, I'm being billed for a whopping 23,000 units due to my distance from the station. Quite the alarming assertion, I must say!

He claimed to be calling from E.O.N, telling me i'd overpaid £65 and was due a refund. I asked him straight if he was really with E.O.N and he confirmed he was. He then asked for my business name and address, and said he needed a meter reading to process the refund. I said i'd submit the reading online and ended the call, as i felt it was dodgy. Plus, his english was really poor.

Dad got annoyed and was rude back then hung up, but she called again. I picked up and when I told her we aren’t a business and I’d report her, she got even more rude. I might’ve said some harsh words, which I shouldn’t have, but then she kept ringing back four more times!

Got a call from an Asian bloke asking for the salon owner, I told him they weren’t here. Then he suddenly said he wanted to speak with ME and started saying some really rude stuff like wanting to f*ck me. I was shocked to say the least. He repeated it a couple more times until my mate grabbed the phone and told him off with some choice words and told him to piss off. The idiot rang back about 4 or 5 more times, so we ended up unplugging the phone line.

Says he's calling from OFGEM about my 'N-Power Complaint Document' (which I've never had anything to do with nor filed any complaint). Turns nasty and shouts really quick. Told my partner he’d f#ck his sister, f#ck him up the arse, then his mum and dad. When I said his parents are dead, he suddenly got sorry but then started all over again with the abuse. No matter how many times I've told him to stop bothering me, he carries on using withheld numbers. This really needs sorting.

As the proprietor of a Thai eatery in the UK, I’ve endured relentless phone calls for the past eighteen months regarding alleged overcharges on our electricity and gas bills. Occasionally, an Indian or Asian male would ring, but there were also instances when it was an Indian or Asian female. My team generally opted to end the conversation abruptly, returning to their duties. However, it has happened that immediately after we hung up, the same caller would ring back, asking, "Why did you hang up on me?" Just recently, we received another call from an Indian or Asian female concerning our utility services. When I inquired about her company and requested a contact number, the conversation escalated; she began to argue and even went as far as to call me “f***ing stupid!”

I've come across this lot calling themselves Energy Direct, apparently a company hailing from Canada that dabbles in UK energy deals. I was under the impression I had everything ironed out for my business until they switched gears on who was going to supply my energy.
After I told them where to shove it, this chap ALi, who seems to think he’s fluent in English, clearly doesn’t grasp the concept of “NO” and its various implications, has been ringing me nearly every single day for the past couple of months.
The entire ordeal has been quite costly for me, as I ended up stuck on a standard tariff with my energy provider before I finally managed to sort out a fixed-rate deal directly with them.
I strongly advise steering clear of Energy Direct/Direct Energy!

I've received numerous calls from this number, and let me tell you, it's been quite unpleasant. The gentleman on the other end, who I believe was of Asian descent, was incredibly abrasive. He yelled at me, claiming he was reaching out regarding our electricity. When I requested him to remove our number from his calling list, he became foul-mouthed and abruptly disconnected the call. Quite shocking behaviour, really!

I received a call from an Asian gentleman enquiring about the business owners. When I mentioned that they were unavailable and suggested he send an email with more details if it was a sales pitch, he responded quite shockingly by telling me to "go have it out with my mother." I've already lodged a complaint regarding this behaviour and I recommend that others do the same if they encounter anything similar.

On the 27th of April in 2016, precisely at 11:33 in the morning, I received a phone call from this number. The voice on the other end cheerfully greeted me with a "Good Morning, Madam." Curious as to whether they were marketing gas and electricity or perhaps reporting some fictitious issue with my computer’s windows, I quipped back. Much to my surprise, the response was an outright insult: "You are a b*tch." Assuming I'd misheard due to the unexpected rudeness, I politely replied, "Excuse me?" He reiterated his previous remark, "I said you are a b*tch." At that point, I decided it was best to end the call.
