+20 85 698 857 - rang me saying i'd been given a £9,000 grant for college. I asked which company they were with, especially since the number wasn’t even from the UK, and the bloke started to stammer. It was really suspicious so I asked him to email me so I could check if it was legit. Of course he dodged the question and started asking loads of personal stuff, even knew my name and address. I told him I was busy and he just hung up.

First call was on Thursday, 14th April 2016 at 1:13 PM, then again on the same day at 5:53 PM. Fast forward to Friday, 15th April at 1:35 PM, and yet another on Monday, 18th April at 5:31 PM.

Proper thick Asian accent, claimed he was with Microsoft and said my PC was infected. I told him he was a scammer and I don't even use Microsoft on my computer. Then I blocked his number straight away. Seems like they use some kind of tech to fake a London area code. Honestly wish I could zap them with some electric shock - maybe then they’d find a proper job! This is the first time I’ve gotten a call like this since switching to the BT 8500 and blocking internationals and numbers that don’t show.

I got a call from some bloke claiming there was an issue with my computer. I asked him to specify which problem he meant, but he didn’t answer. Then he said he was from ‘Windows’. That scam called Verso is back but with a different name now. Just some dodgy bloke trying to make cash off your replies. Best thing to do is block them and tell them to bugger off. Also, report it to the ICO as annoying nuisance calls.
