I've had four calls today about cavity wall insulation, which is honestly a bit worrying since the caller already had my name and address. They even said there was someone nearby who could come and do a free survey. Needless to say, I've now blocked the number.

I got a call from a bloke, sounded Russian or maybe Polish, saying someone sent me a parcel but it didn't have a stamp on it. He asked for my email so he could sort out the payment. But honestly, check where the message actually comes from - this fella didn’t even know the delivery address properly. Bit dodgy if you ask me.

somebody rang me pretending to be from royal mail saying there was a parcel for me with some sort of unpaid postage. they couldn’t say who had sent it, just that the sender’s initials were ay. they also wouldn’t explain why the parcel was stuck in london instead of being at the local post office in oxfordshire, nor how they got hold of my phone number. seemed quite odd and unsettling to me.

When I asked what the parcel was, she couldn’t give me a proper answer, just saying it was something small. I pressed her on who the sender was but she refused to give any info. I told her I wasn’t expecting any deliveries and then she said it might be a gift. It was so obviously dodgy I just played along, being pretty blunt with her, and she started asking for my email and other details. She kept stammering with lots of ‘um’s, and honestly it was kinda funny how poor she was at this scam, so I just kept winding her up to waste her time.

Received a ring from this number, there was a weird pause before anyone spoke. Person sounded Asian. Don’t fall for this fake Royal Mail parcel payment scam. They claim you need to pay before delivery and ask for your email, then send you a fake Royal Mail website that looks legit but isn’t.
