Every day I get calls from this private number on my phone. The person on the line said they’ve got a cheque waiting for me worth £3,460 but I need to send £250 first using Paysafe cards. I’m not sure if this is a scam or not. The bloke introduced himself as 'Jason Andrews' and mentioned someone called Simon Turner will show up at my place tomorrow to hand over the cheque. Anyone else heard of these names?

I got a call from a bloke named Scott Rodgers, who sounded a bit Asian, which immediately made me wary. He told me I’d been sold PPI wrongly and that my compensation of £3,100 was ready to be paid. Apparently, a guy called Paul Martin was meant to show up at my place today with the cheque, but I had to pay a £225 commission first using Paysafe vouchers. He claimed to be from the City of London, but when I rang them, there was no record of anyone by that name. Then I called back and spoke to another Asian chap who said he was from the City of County Court’s Despatch Team. Really relieved to see others have spotted these scammers too!

Just got a call claiming I was due a PPI refund but first I had to buy PaySafe cards before they'd send the cheque by courier. Lucky I looked it up here first, turns out it’s a total scam.
