I've been receiving numerous calls from a withheld number on my phone. They claim to have a cheque waiting for me for the amount of £3,460, but they want me to fork out £250 in paysafe vouchers beforehand. Can anyone tell me if this is for real? The chap on the line introduced himself as 'Jason Andrews' and mentioned that someone named Simon Turner would pop round to my place tomorrow to hand over the cheque. Sounds a bit fishy to me! What do you reckon?

I received a rather dubious call today from someone who identified himself as Scott Rodgers. He had what I perceived to be an Asian accent, which immediately aroused my suspicions. This chap went on about having been mis-sold PPI and that my claim had been approved, supposedly entitling me to a payout of £3,100. He mentioned that a fellow named Paul Martin would be popping round to deliver this cheque to my doorstep today. However, he insisted that I needed to make a payment of £225 in commission using PaySafe vouchers before that could happen. Claiming to be based in the City of London, I reached out to check with them directly, only to discover they had no record of this individual. I called back and spoke to yet another chap with an Asian accent, who bizarrely stated that they were from the ‘Despatch Team of the City of County Court’. I’m really thankful that others have shared similar experiences with these scammers!

Today, I got a call regarding a PPI refund, and they mentioned needing to purchase PaySafe vouchers before the courier brought the cheque. I'm so relieved I looked it up here and found out it was nothing but a con.
