This number rang me, saying I’d won a cheque for £2734 from London City Courts linked to a PPI claim with HSBC. They insisted I pay £200 via PayPoint before they’d send me the money. I chatted with two folks, Edward and Nathan, but it felt like it was the same person using different names. As soon as I told them I’d done my homework and knew they were trying to con people out of their cash, the line just went dead.

Heads up, they’re using a different number now. They say they’ve got a cheque to send from London City Courts, but it’s a trick. They want you to pay a “commission” using Paysafe vouchers, so don’t fall for it, it’s definitely a scam.
