I got a call from a robot, it was so obvious it wasn’t a real person. Totally annoying.

I got calls from a couple of people with a strong Indian accent saying they were from O2. They told me they had to send a new SIM because of some network update. They kept ringing me non-stop while I was trying to work, really annoying.

Sounds like another call from one of those Indian call centres. She was talking about some O2 offer and said they'd post me a SIM in 5 days. Told them I wasn’t bothered and they just cut me off straight away.

Got a call from someone pretending to be Virgin Media but it was actually an 02 scam. They said I needed a new SIM card and tried fishing for my details to hack into my 02 account, hoping to buy stuff like iPhones and iWatches and then bill it all to my contract. Really dodgy tactic!

I got a call from a lady who spoke with a heavy accent, calling herself Victoria and claiming to be from 02. She said she wanted to send me a new SIM card for free. Then suddenly she told me to wait on the phone, and some bloke started talking instead. It felt dodgy, so I just hung up and blocked the number straight away. Definitely seemed like a scam to me.

Got a call from a lady who sounded like she was ringing from some sort of overseas call centre. She claimed to be from o2 and said they were going to send me a new sim card for free. She then started asking for my email and other details. I wasn't having any of it and told her no, then hung up. She said her name was Hazel, which didn’t sound right to me. She rang again later but I didn’t pick up.

Got a ring on my mobile from this number, some woman claiming she was calling from O2. She said my SIM was about to be cancelled due to some system upgrade on their end. Thing is, she didn’t know my name or my email, even though she kept pestering me for those. Surely if this was legit O2, they’d already have that info? Feels like a total scam to me.

Thanks for the heads up, I've reported it like you suggested. That police site was quite useful, showing how to report not just calls but also scam texts and emails. Pretty handy info!

Got a call claiming they were sending me a new SIM for an O2 account I've never opened. Definitely one of those scam attempts.

Honestly, folks need to be cautious about what they agree to. TPS? Nope! It only blocks a few genuine calls, not even all of them, and it certainly doesn't touch ones from scammers. If you really wanna cut down on those fraud calls, you gotta report them. The police have a site called Action Fraud with a phishing report section that explains how to report scams properly. You can also send texts to 7726 with the call info. They'll reply asking for you to resend the details too.

I’m registered with the TPS, so why do I keep getting these annoying calls? They really should just be banned completely.
