I received a call from someone who claimed to be representing Lloyd's Bank's Fraud Division. They stated that there had been a dodgy transaction for £200 on my account. Unfortunately, I’m a Santander customer, so this is clearly a scam attempt!

I got a call from a couple of Indian blokes saying £1000 was already out of my bank and they wanted me to verify my account info right away. That’s when it clicked to me that it was a scam. Quite dodgy!

Got an automated call from 07519 974 335 saying it was Lloyd’s Bank alerting me about a suspicious £600 debit card transaction. The message gave me the choice to press 1 to dismiss or 2 to talk to Lloyd’s. I ended up pressing 2, but the line was poor and a man told me to ring Lloyd’s Fraud Department on 020 8144 6955. Turns out, that number isn’t real according to my local branch. They said it’s definitely a scam trying to get your card details, so just block and ignore these calls!

Got a call telling me someone tried to take money from our bank account and send it to China. They even knew our name and bank details. When I asked for a number to ring them back, they just said to get in touch with the local branch.

Got a phone call from someone pretending there was a dodgy £600 charge on my debit card. They mentioned I needed to ring a certain number because of my Santander account. So, I gave them a buzz and just messed about on the line for a bit. Ended up pissing them off so much that they shouted a few choice words at me before hanging up! :-)

They try to scare you by saying your internet has been hacked, telling you to search "2My 1P address location" which then shows a Mountain View, California IP. The right way is to just type "My IP Address". Afterwards, they warn you that fraudsters have your banking info and ask you to install remote access apps like Anydesk on your computer or TeamViewer if on your phone. Make sure to warn your family and mates to either ignore these calls or keep the scammers talking so they don’t bother others. Some of their numbers look like normal mobiles too: 07451286307 07451278623
