Got a call pretending to be from Barclays about some supposedly blocked payments. Total scam.

I got a call from an Asian woman who kept saying "madam" over and over, trying to give me two ways to lower my bill, asking me "Which one would you like?". But the moment I tried to get her info, she just cut me off.

Absolutely a scam. This person said they worked for EE, but before I shared any of my info, they somehow took out three phone contracts pretending to be me. As soon as I spoke to EE and stopped the orders from going any further, he started blowing up my phone - called me like 9 times from this one number. Then he switched to other ones, one from Edinburgh and another from Kent after I blocked him. He gave the name Matthew Barkas with an agent ID 6016 - not sure if that’s his real name or just made up. Be very careful with this one.
