An Asian gentleman on the line introduced himself as being from some sort of 'accident investigation' service, or some such thing. I politely acknowledged him and inquired what he needed. Unfortunately, he didn’t respond at all, leaving me in a somewhat awkward silence. I decided to remain quiet as well, but after a lengthy pause, the line went dead! My husband, understandably shocked, dismissed the news as false, after which the caller abruptly hung up.
