Got a call from a bloke named Noel Wallace claiming he was from the fraud team at Westminster Bank. Then another chap, Michael Ryan, said he was an inspector with the Met Police, also looking into some fraud. They told me to head straight to the bank and withdraw all my cash. I've reported the whole thing to Action Fraud and the South Wales Police.

I got a call from 02081444083 claiming to be some Noel Wallace, saying there was an attempt to get into my bank account. Weird thing is, they actually knew which bank I use. They gave me a sketchy number, something like 00871246688162, and I just kept them on the line for about half an hour. Then they just hung up on me.

Received a call from martin taylor on 02081444083 to my 90 year old mum who can’t see. He told her someone had got into her bank account and was trying to steal £2000. he already knew she had an account with national westminster. mum said he sounded very friendly and polite, making the whole thing seem real. she didn’t share any info with him but he told her to jot down the number. when she mentioned her blindness, he just hung up straight away.

just wanted to update my previous post from 13/03/2019 - my bank had no clue about this number and told me it's definitely a scam. I called it back a couple of times while keeping my number private. First time, no answer at all. The second time, I got an elderly lady sounding a bit puzzled after a while. Didn't want to frighten her, so i hung up straight away. watch out, this might be a dodgy scam!

this guy called me claiming to be martin, some senior investigator from barclays, said my account was hacked. problem is, i don’t even have an account there! i told him straight up he was trying to scam me and that i’d report him to the cops. he got proper mad and dared me to do it. watch out for this number. i'll be passing it on to barclays myself.

Got a voicemail from someone saying they were a senior investigator from my bank, but I couldn’t catch his name - it was so heavily accented! He said there was an attempted internet scam on my account the night before and told me to call 0208 1444 083. The call came from a hidden number, of course. I’ve since reported the call and that number to my bank. Lucky for me, my account seems fine when I checked it.

Got a call from someone claiming to be Martin Taylor, saying he was from the Bank of Scotland’s fraud team. He told me my bank account had been hacked and tried to get me to update all my internet banking passwords. He even gave me a supposedly legit ID number to verify his identity. I hung up straight away and rang the Bank of Scotland myself, and they assured me everything was fine. This bloke was really persuasive, so be careful!

On 9th March 2019, I got a call from a dodgy London number. The person on the other end pretended to be from Barclays' fraud team, but it was a total scam. He even told me to keep it secret from everyone. Just hang up straight away, don’t trust it!

Got a call on my nan's phone, shes 90, from someone claiming to be fraud at her bank, told her to go into town to the bank. When she mentioned I’d be over shortly, the bloke hung up but left a number. I rang it back and the guy was really nasty and even said the wrong bank name. Felt really sketchy and not to be trusted.
