Got a message saying a payment to a place I bought from hadn’t gone through and they wanted me to confirm it. They even included a Royal Mail tracking number, which made it sound legit at first. Don’t fall for it and BLOCK this number - total scam!

I got a call from 01462455717 saying they're from Amazon's security team. The woman said some bloke called David Thompson was messing about with my account. She had a really thick Asian accent which made it tough to catch everything. Seems like these scammers are picking local-ish numbers to trick folks!

A number showing as local rang me, and the person claimed to be from Amazon’s security team. They said some bloke named David Thompson was using my email without permission and urged me to check it on my computer. When I mentioned that I’d already checked via my phone, she said it wouldn’t register that way. She kept pushing me to turn on my computer, but I could tell straightaway it was dodgy. I told her I’d track her down and give her a proper telling off.

I just received a robo call from this number saying I was about to be arrested over unpaid taxes. When I rang back, some bloke with an Indian accent answered, claiming to be from the "HMRC Audit Department". Total scam. I told him, “You’re a fraud, and so am I - I’m from Delhi too!” He actually replied, “Wanna join us?” Hilarious. Also, when he picked up, he asked for my name, so I said, “You called me, aren’t you meant to know who you’re calling?” Obviously he didn’t have a clue. Don’t give these conmen any personal info.

I had an amusing encounter this morning with a bloke who called me at precisely 10:20. When I requested his number, he willingly provided it. He then instructed me to check my screen, saying to look at the bottom right and then the left, and relay the information I saw. The bottom right showed the time, so I informed him of that, while the left side displayed my beloved card game, spider solitaire. I cheekily quizzed him on strategies to win, which clearly irritated him. He huffed that I was wasting his time and ominously warned me that my computer would switch off in thirty minutes. I promptly told him to shove off and suggested he not bother wasting my time as well. An hour later, I’m still up and running with my computer just fine!

I just had an intriguing phone conversation with a chap who had an unmistakable Indian accent. He introduced himself as James Thompson, claiming to represent ‘Cybercrime’ and informed me that someone down in Devon was attempting to access my Amazon account. He suggested he needed to connect to my computer to remedy the supposed breach. Instinctively, I felt something was off and pressed him for his company details. He mentioned ‘Amazon Cybercrime’ and gave an address of 13 Hanover Street, London, W1S 1YH. Initially, the call came from an international number, but when I challenged him about that, he bizarrely asserted it wasn't a traditional phone number at all, but rather the 'URL number' of his computer! He then offered his landline as 02081443455. Quite predictably, I haven’t bothered to return his call! This whole thing reeks of a SCAM.

He asked me to open my laptop so he could help me block the person. I told him I'd ring back in 30 mins. He gave an address too, 14 Hanover St, London, and a number, 0208 144 3455. When I phoned Amazon later, they told me it was a scam and warned me to watch out for stuff like this.

I got a call from this number earlier, saying someone tried to make a £500 purchase on Amazon using my info. They told me to switch on my computer so they could guide me through some steps to fix it. I asked for the lady’s name and a number for their head office, but she just handed the phone over to a bloke called Mike, who then gave me this number. It’s obviously a scam, these lot are proper scammers and need to be shut down.

I got a call from this number yesterday. A woman introduced herself as Susan Brown and claimed to represent Microsoft support at first. A bloke identifying himself as David Max gave me a bell from this number, attempting to gain entry to my computer for an upgrade of McAfee Live Safe. I've had a barrage of similar calls lately, all asking the same cheeky questions. He even mentioned some Toshiba Places file, which I’d already removed before I even bothered to open it. Anyway, he claimed he’d ring me back later - but I’m certainly not holding my breath for that!

Today I got a call from someone claiming my PC was in serious danger of being hacked. They tricked me into running a few commands to get remote access. Their endgame was to push some software on me for £200. They wouldn't hand control back till we got firm and mentioned calling the police. They said they were Microsoft reps, watching my computer and warned they could revoke my licence and cut my internet. Definitely let the officials know about this scam.

I just got off the phone with a woman from India who claimed she was with Microsoft support. She said there were unauthorised individuals accessing my computer and that they’d been keeping an eye on my activities. She told me to look at something in the bottom right corner of my screen, but I didn’t trust her one bit and ended the call. They’ve tried to ring me again since, but if she bothers me again, I might just resort to a whistle to drown out that cheeky voice! Total scam, no doubt about it!

Hello there! I just shared a comment moments ago regarding a call I received from someone named Daniel Brown at a Service Station. I decided to check out another website for further insights and stumbled upon a post from a "Daniel Brown" as well. This individual was raving about the excellent service he received from the very company that called me, insisting everyone should have faith in these callers! So, do exercise caution!

I’ve just endured a rather lengthy 20-minute conversation with an Asian gentleman by the name of Daniel Brown who claimed to be representing “Service Station.” He was rather insistent that I share my mobile number and hop onto my laptop to check something, though he wasn’t particularly clear about what that was. As we spoke, his patience seemed to wane considerably when I declined to access my computer. He then went on about some chap named David Thompson using my personal information. Eventually, he seemed to lose his temper and threatened to refer my details to his associates, who would supposedly put a stop to my computer functioning. So now, I’m just waiting for the dreaded moment when my PC succumbs to this supposed cancellation. Interestingly enough, it hasn’t packed up yet! Quite a menacing experience, indeed, especially since I refused to comply with his demands.

I received a rather dubious telephone call from this number on the 21st of November, 2017. A chap named "Jason Reed" claimed that my computer was riddled with issues and infections. He then proceeded to demand £395 for repairs. After I declined and ended the conversation, they had the audacity to ring me back three or four times! It got to the point where I had to warn them I would involve the police. Quite a distressing experience, I must say.

Beware of this number; it’s still active and clearly involved in scamming activities. The other day, I picked up and a woman started off by claiming there was an ‘urgent’ situation with my Mac. She urged me to hit a key next to the control button before transferring the call to a chap with a strong Indian accent. He took over the chat, had control of TeamViewer, and within moments, he was displaying an ever-growing list of supposed ‘errors and issues’. Next, he tried to squeeze £205 out of me for a four-year fix or £290 for a lifetime service. Oddly enough, the moment I switched off my Mac, they bombarded me with six or seven calls straight away.

Got a call from someone who said he was from ID Support in London, mentioning 14 Hanover Street SW11 9AH. He tried telling my elderly folks that they had a Microsoft issue or something like that. I rang him back and he seemed shocked I managed to get through, answering as James Morris. No clue if that’s his real name or if he actually lives at that address, but he said he owns a fabric business in London. Once my mate tracks down the number, I’m thinking of dropping by for a visit.

She wanted me to click on a message that was apparently located in the bottom right corner of my status bar.
