Phone number ☎️ 02081442956 👆 is reported as a persistent scam involving callers impersonating Royal Mail staff, claiming recipients have parcels with insufficient postage requiring immediate small payments, typically around £1.50. Callers often use personal names to appear credible but cannot provide verifiable parcel details or legitimate addresses. They pressure for payment over the phone or request email addresses to send fraudulent links. Many recipients note rude or abrupt behaviour, including hanging up when questioned. Genuine Royal Mail parcels always come with a formal card or email notification, never unsolicited calls demanding payments. Some bloke rang me, said he was from a phone shop. I asked him how on earth he got my number since it’s supposed to be private, and he just said that doesn’t matter, madam. I told him to take my number off their list and never call again, and then he just told me to be quiet before hanging up on me. Honestly, that was so cheeky and rude!

I got a call from someone saying they were from Royal Mail Shipping. They wanted my email to send info on releasing a parcel, but couldn’t say what was inside or where it came from. Then they asked me to pay £1.55. I didn’t give them any info, felt a bit dodgy.

Got a call from a lady with an Indian accent, claiming she was ringing from Royal Mail about an Amazon package. She said it was a bit light and didn’t have enough postage, so I needed to pay some fees to get it through. I found it odd and asked why Amazon would send things through Royal Mail like that. She then said it was because Royal Mail was overloaded or something. I kept asking her more questions until she finally gave up and ended the call. For sure sounds like a scam to me!

I got a call from someone saying I owed £1.50 for some kind of postage on a parcel. They wouldn’t tell me what the parcel was or where it was from. When I asked for an email, the woman said she’d already sent it and told me to check my inbox while she stayed on the line. Nothing showed up. Then she offered to text me, but I asked her to just post a proper bill like Royal Mail usually does, then she just ended the call. Definitely feels like a scam, so watch out for this one.

Apparently, the seller hadn’t paid the proper postage, so I needed to cough up £1.50 to get it released. When she asked if I’d pay, I told her I didn’t think it was really Royal Mail calling and then she just hung up. Tried ringing the number back but, of course, it was dead. Got a call from someone pretending to be Royal Mail, and honestly, the woman was quite aggressive and not polite at all. She insisted that I pay for a stamp right then and there. I tried telling her to just send the parcel to my nearest depot so I could pay in person, but she kept saying I had to sort it out either over the phone or online. Like some others have said, I got a call supposedly from Royal Mail saying a parcel was stuck at a depot but they needed to confirm my address. Then they asked for my email. I said I wouldn’t give it over because it sounded dodgy, and they just cut the call. The line was a bit crackly and their Eastern European accent was hard to understand. Just like others mentioned here, I got a call about some mail I hadn’t received and was told I needed to pay a fee. When I asked who it was from, the woman said it was a shop that’d already paid but apparently a postage stamp was missing. She wanted around a quid. I then asked how she even had my phone number since mail doesn’t usually show that unless opened. She insisted I was in her system. I told her that the post office normally leaves a card and that I wasn’t buying it, then she just hung up. It’s a shame, really, but unfortunately enough people fall for this kinda thing for the scammers to keep doing it.
