This number called me, some guy with an Indian accent asking if I wanted an upgrade. I acted like I was a 94-year-old bloke and had a right laugh keeping him on the line for about 40 minutes, chatting nonsense about serving in India during WW2. Pretended to pop off to grab pens, paper, and fake a delivery at the door. Finished by asking if he could even sleep at night, calling him a lowlife scammer preying on the elderly. He told me to "go f#### your mother". I shot back saying my mum would be 134 years old by now. Proper good way to waste his time, had a laugh. Worth a go!

Calls coming from places like Reading or London just scream scam most of the time. The Inland Revenue has stopped ringing me lately, so maybe they gave up. A lot of those accident insurance callers have faded out too, especially from Manchester and London. They often try to sound like they’re from Amazon or BT. It’s just how it goes these days. I even lost my temper and swore at one once, and then they rang back shouting abuse - sounded like they were calling from India or somewhere.

Sounds like a scam to me. I was waiting for a call, so I just picked up straight away. This bloke with a really strong Asian accent claimed he was from Carphone Warehouse and had a deal on the iPhone 13. I told him I already own an iPhone and when he asked which one, I said something like an 11 (never remember the exact model). Then he went on rambling about an iPhone 12 (huh? from a 13 deal?) plus paying off all my medical bills. Yeah, right! I politely declined, ended the chat, and blocked the number.

Complete rip off! Got a call from someone claiming to be from Carphone Warehouse, said his name was Jason and spoke with a thick Indian accent. He tried to sell me an upgrade, but I told him I’d just recently upgraded my phone. He asked which model I had, and I said I couldn’t remember exactly but mentioned it had three lenses on the back to help him figure it out. Next thing, he called me stupid and just hung up. Seriously dodgy behaviour from a so-called "Jason" in India. Swearing at a customer? That’s definitely a scam. If Carphone Warehouse is legit, they seriously need to rethink using call centres in India, especially when most scam calls I get are from there. Not exactly inspiring trust at all.
