Got a call a bit ago from someone claiming to be Natwest’s fraud dept, saying there was suspicious activity on my business account. He told me I had to get a new sort code and account number straight away, and then started guiding me on how to change it online. It soon dawned on me he was trying to trick me into moving all my funds to another account. Honestly, he sounded pretty legit till the bit where he asked me to transfer the money, that’s when I got suspicious.

I got a call from someone claiming to be from NatWest fraud, saying my account had been hacked. They told me I had to shift all my money over to a different account right away. They wanted me to transfer everything to this “new account number and sort code” they gave me. At first, it sounded pretty legit and I almost fell for it.

Someone rang me from this number claiming to be with Lloyds Bank, saying our business account had been compromised. He told me Lloyds had shut down our account and that he was moving the funds to a new account. It only struck me as odd when he mentioned the sort code 60-84-07 for the transfer, which isn’t a Lloyds code (Lloyds codes always begin with 30), but belongs to Chase Bank. I ended the call and contacted Lloyds directly, who confirmed it was a scammer attempting to nab our money. Be careful!

Got a call from this number earlier, they said they're from Lloyds Bank but it seemed like a total scam.
