Reports on phone number 02081388825
3 yearsI received a call earlier purporting to be from the Natwest fraud department, claiming that someone had gained access to my business account. The caller mentioned they needed to provide me with a new sort code and account number, and then attempted to guide me on how to set these up through my online banking. It quickly became apparent, however, that his real aim was to persuade me to move my entire funds into a different bank account. He had a rather convincing manner, at least until the moment he attempted to get me to transfer my hard-earned cash.Natwest3 yearsI got a call from someone claiming to be from NatWest fraud, saying my account had been hacked. They told me I had to shift all my money over to a different account right away. They wanted me to transfer everything to this “new account number and sort code” they gave me. At first, it sounded pretty legit and I almost fell for it.NatWest3 yearsI received a call from this number earlier today, with a chap claiming to be from Lloyds Bank. He mentioned that our business account had been compromised and that they'd already gone ahead and cancelled it. He even claimed he was in the middle of moving our funds to a different account. It wasn’t until he provided the sort code 60-84-07 that I realised something was amiss, as I know for a fact that Lloyds' codes start with 30. Instead, it was associated with Chase Bank! At that moment, I decided to hang up and contacted Lloyds directly, who promptly informed me it was indeed a scammer attempting to access our funds.
