STAY AWAY. This is definitely a con. Got a call from Shaw academy asking why I hadn’t finished my sign-up by giving my card info. They promoted a free trial course on Facebook, but still wanted payment details. I refused to give them as online reviews reveal they often charge people even if they cancel within the free trial and have loads of fake testimonials. Some bloke from a call centre rang and kept trying to convince me their claims were false!

Shaw Academy appears to be a dubious operation. I've come across numerous negative reviews on Trustpilot that certainly raised my eyebrows. I strongly advise against registering for their so-called free course. It looks like they collect your credit card information under the pretense of a "free course," only to trap you in a web from which it's incredibly challenging to extricate yourself. I'm relieved I stopped myself before completing the sign-up process for that free offering.

I reckon this number is affiliated with Shaw Academy, persistently attempting to pry into your banking information, especially if you've ever engaged with their 'free courses' promotion, perhaps on platforms like Facebook. They've been known to ring from various other UK numbers as well. Additionally, I've received text messages from 07444 300688 and 07603 700270. I've now taken the precaution of blocking these numbers on my phone.

I took a chance and picked up the third call from this number earlier today, only for it to disconnect the moment I said hello! Curiosity got the better of me, so I did a quick search afterwards and was astonished to see a plethora of complaints from others who had had identical encounters!
