STAY AWAY. This is definitely a con. Got a call from Shaw academy asking why I hadn’t finished my sign-up by giving my card info. They promoted a free trial course on Facebook, but still wanted payment details. I refused to give them as online reviews reveal they often charge people even if they cancel within the free trial and have loads of fake testimonials. Some bloke from a call centre rang and kept trying to convince me their claims were false!

Avoid Shaw Academy, total con! I saw countless negative feedback on Trustpilot, so I wouldn’t bother with their so-called free courses. They seem to grab your card info when you sign up for the free trial and then make cancelling your subscription a nightmare. Lucky for me, I stopped before finishing the free course registration, otherwise I’d probably be stuck with them.

Last night around 10:39pm, I received a text from Shaw Academy about my "unfinished registration." I probably had glanced at a job post on Facebook not long ago. Then, a UK number rang me twice but dropped the call as soon as I answered with "Hello." Feels like it’s connected to that Shaw Academy message and something to do with Gamma Telecom Holdings Ltd. Definitely a scam!

I reckon this number belongs to Shaw Academy - they seem to be after your bank info, especially if you’ve replied to one of those ‘free course’ ads on Facebook or somewhere. They ring from different UK numbers as well. I got SMS from 07444 300688 and 07603 700270 too. I’ve gone ahead and blocked all those numbers on my phone now.
