Got a call from someone claiming to be with Sky, saying my gear insurance had lapsed. I told them I wasn’t sure about that, then ended the call myself. I do use Sky, but I never signed up for any insurance. Pretty clear scam though, the lady spoke nicely and could easily trick some folks.

I received a call from a chap claiming to be ‘Harry’ from ‘Sky’, who began prattling on about my maintenance agreement that had expired. I quickly realised he had no genuine connection to Sky whatsoever and frankly, I was quite sceptical about his name being Harry at all. So, I kindly advised him to take his nonsense elsewhere and ended the conversation promptly.

Got a call from this number earlier today but no voicemail left. I rang back, dialling 141 before the number to keep mine hidden, and pretty quickly figured out it was one of those annoying scams. I've blocked the number now to stop any more bother.

Someone rang me claiming to be from Sky Services about renewing my Sky equipment insurance. She asked if everything was working fine, which I confirmed even though I don't even have Sky. Apparently, I paid £155 last year, but she offered a deal at £120 for a single year or £180 if I wanted two years. I asked for a mailing address, and she happily gave me Grant Way TW7 5QD, which is actually where the genuine Sky and related companies are based. After that, she just ended the call.

When she inquired whether my equipment was functioning properly, I could only respond affirmatively, despite the fact that I don't actually have Sky services. Got a call from an unknown number but didn’t answer. This is the second mystery call today, after I accidentally picked up a call at 8:30 in the morning and it turned out to be some call centre. I just hung up straight away without saying anything. It’s really annoying and feels quite risky because usually when you get an early call like that, it seems to trigger loads more for the rest of the day, sometimes the entire week - never ending!
